A digital scale is required ‐ The ratio is always 80% Gloss TopCoat, 20% Matte Activator, and then an ADDITIONAL 5% Reducer can be added ‐ (example of ratio: 800 grams Matte TopCoat, 200 grams Matte Activator, 50 grams Reducer) ‐ Mix all components thoroughly before use. Allow bubbles to escape before spraying ‐ Pot time for Matte is approximately 1-2 hours depending on temp/humidity ‐ Always strain the Matte through cone filters as it enters the spray gun cup Application Instructions: ‐ AutoFlex Matte TopCoat should only be applied over a minimum base of 10+ coats of Spray Wrap Pro™ ‐ Allow final base/color/pearl coat to sit a minimum of 1 hour after it is dry to the touch to ensure proper flashing ‐ Approximately 30 PSI should be used ‐ A tip ranging from 1.2-1.4 should be used. ‐ Start with 1 dust coat, covering entire vehicle surface with a light mist of the topcoat ‐ Immediately after dust coat, apply one wet coat of the topcoat over entire surface – ensuring even passes and wetting out entire surface ‐ Air dry entire vehicle overnight (8-12 hours depending on temp/humidity). If air dried, the vehicle will need several hours of direct sunlight before being fully set and hardened. ‐ Bake at 140 degrees F for 45 minutes if forced drying is desired. Allow Gloss to set naturally for 30 minutes before baking Product Tips: ‐ AutoFlex Matte should be applied with an HVLP/RP compressor gun for best results. Turbines will reduce quality of finish ‐ Make certain to completely wet out entire surface of vehicle, or small pinholes in the matte can occur ‐ A clean working environment is critical (Spray Booth suggested). While the topcoat dries, airborne debris and dust can settle in the topcoat. Ensure a clean and proper area is available before spraying ‐ Always use proper respiratory protection and equipment (auto painting respirator at minimum) ‐ Proper ventilation is a must. Do not spray in an enclosed room or area. Steady air flow is important for application and safety reasons ‐ Please wait 1 week after setting is complete to seal the topcoat Page 7 of 7 Issue Date 06.05.2015
