Technical Specification for Cell Imaging System 1. System must be a compact integrated unit including: microscope, digital camera, computer, high power fluorescence lighting system without any requirement of external PC and imaging software. 2. System must include an automated X-Y scanning stage with SBS micro plate opening and accessory vessel holders. 3. System must include an automated objective turret, filter set and condenser. 4. System must have capacity to include 3 or more independent high output LED illuminators with integrated hard coated fluorescence band pass excitation and emission filters. 5. System must be able to simultaneously accommodate 4 fluorescent LED light cubes. 6. Fluorescence LED light cube must be single, interchangeable cube that can be easily removed and installed, Fluorescent LED light cube required are DAPI,GFP, RFP and Cy5. 7. Fluorescence LED illuminators must have a lifetime of 50,000 hours at 100% power. 8. System must automatically recognize which cube (DAPI, GFP, RFP and Cy5) is installed and adjust the software configuration accordingly. 9. LED illuminators must have independent intensity control. 10. System must include 2 cameras with auto-switching capabilities, which includes an integrated high-sensitivity monochrome interline CCD camera with 1.4 million pixels (6.45uM) and an integrated high-sensitivity CMOS color camera. 11. System must be able to accommodate a minimum of 5 objectives at once, objectives (Plan fluorite) required are listed below: Magnification

12. System must include an automated focus mechanism. 13. System must provide a 1-click RGB channel overlay. 14. System must be able to sequentially acquire a phase contrast image and a fluorescence image with a single mouse click, and then overlay them automatically. 15. System must include time lapse imaging capability.
16. System must include manual cell counting capability. 17. System must include tiling and stitching software. 18. System must be capable of automated full plate scanning. 19. System must include upto date, current state of art software which must include free downloadable software updates. The integrated software, accessed by a touch-screen monitor or the mouse, should feature standard functions such as a scale bar and image review tool as well a variety of advanced imaging and analysis tools mentioned below. All images acquired should be saved in JPEG, BMP, TIFF and PNG formats. 20. System must have at least one DVI output port and three or more USB output ports. 21. System must support direct output to USB and networking storage. 22. System must enable user to have control of system through touch screen LCD monitor. 23. Compatible Online UPS with minimum of 1 hour backup should be provided. 24. Branded laptop and laser printer for analysis work with following configurations: Branded laptop (15” screen) with I-7 or better processor, 4 GB RAM, minimum 3 USB port, 1 TB HDD, RW/DVD-ROM, licensed win-8 Operating System, licensed MS office professional edition and licensed antivirus software. 25. Suitable table for stationing the equipment along with two suitable stools for comfortable viewing to be provided. 26. Warranty: 2 years. 27. CMC for five years after completion of warranty period.
