iBERT 1000 40G QSFP+ Checker
1. General Description 40Gbps QSFP+ Checker is a 40Gbps Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) with 2 QSFP+ interface。There are 8 transmitters and 8 receivers to accomplish full duplex 40Gbps bidirectional data link. Each transmitter and receiver provides 10Gbps data link. It complies with 40G Ethernet standards. The QSFP+ port follows QSFP+ MSA. User interface can individually monitor bit error rate, error count and timer via USB cable with PC. The serial ID and Digital Diagnostics Monitor for QSFP+ transceiver can also be monitored in the user interface.

4. Graphical User Interface ( GUI )
1. COM PORT: The COM port for the Checker which is defined in PC. This COM port number MUST be selected correctly. 2. LINK : It shows PASS for correct setting of hardware connection, shows FAIL otherwise. 3. BERT MODE : FREE RUN for untimed bit error rate testing; TIMER RUN for timer countdown bit error rate testing. The maximum timer setting is one and half hour (1:30:00). 4. Click ”START” for executing bit error test both on QSFP+1 and QSFP+2; Click ”CHn START” for executing bit error test on CHn independently. 5. Click ”EXIT” to close this program。 Note 1: CHn means CH1, CH2,…,or CH8 Note 2: CH1, CH3, CH5, and CH7 represent RX1, RX2, RX3, and RX4 of the QSFP+ 1. The high speed serial data come from the QSFP+ 2 TX1, TX2, TX3, and TX4. CH2, CH4, CH6, and CH8 represent RX1, RX2, RX3, and RX4 of the QSFP+ 2. The high speed serial data come from the QSFP+ 1 TX1, TX2, TX3, and TX4. Note 3: The indicator of Status turns green while the data link successfully; turns red otherwise.
5. Maintenance Like any other type of electronic equipment, this QSFP+ checker should be kept away from water, high humidity, dust, electricity, and environments of extreme temperatures. Do not drop this tool on any hard surface. Internal modification of any of the SFP checker components can cause a malfunction and will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty.
6. Warranty The manufacturer warrants this product to be free of defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 1 year after purchase. This warranty is solely limited to the repair or replacement of the original parts. All other costs are the sole responsibility of the owner. This warranty does not cover any defects, damage, or deterioration due to misuse, alteration, or negligence.
