Republic of the Philippines CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY WATER DISTRICT Corrales Avenue, Cagayan de Oro City TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS PR No. 14-19755 - 1 Lot Supply, Delivery, Installation and Configuration of UNIFIED STORAGE (SAN & NAS) Production Site, UNIFIED STORAGE (SAN & NAS) Disaster Recovery Site and DATA CENTER POWER BACKUP 1. Proposed Unified Storage (Storage Area Network & Network Attached Storage) and Data Center Power Backup Design and Scope of Works detail The minimum requirement or specification for the Unified Storage (Storage Area Network & Network Attached Storage) and the Backup Power of Data Center are detailed in the following subsections. While it is mandatory for the supplier to meet these minimum requirements, if the design of a particular requirement would need a higher category of product, the supplier should provide as such. The supplier should however provide basis for arriving at the solution being proposed as part of the offer. The supplier should design the solution to provide scalability to Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD). Basic Requirement: To have a solution or architecture, unified not only across protocols and disks, but also in storage efficiency, processes, data management, data replication and data protection. This level of unification is essential for COWD’s Data Center to respond to consolidation of data. Data Protection includes safeguard against corruption of data due to unreliable power sources or power failures. Data Replication includes real-time block level backup to remote Disaster Recovery (DR) site. The overall Scope of Work (SoW) includes the following: • • • To provide a Unified Storage Equipment for the consolidation of data from the system. To supply, deliver, install and configure the said Unified Storage Equipment that supports the direction of COWD for storage efficiency, data management, replication and protection. To provide a backup source of power for the entire Data Center in case there will be a power failure. Note: The above scope of work is indicative and may not be exhaustive in any manner. The supplier shall be assumed to have accounted for best practices, all services and equipment necessary for the Unified Storage and Data Center Power Backup. 2.
