This is normal. There is a high level of microprocessor circuitry in this tuner. In the rare event that it fails to respond to a command, unplug the tuner, leave it for 15 minutes and reconnect it. It will now work normally. IMPORTANT This equipment generates, uses and can radiate tuner frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to tuner communications. However, this is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to tuner or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one of the following measures: - Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. - Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. - Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. - Consult the dealer or an experienced tuner/TV technician for help.
ELECTRICAL INFORMATION Disconnection from the mains is via the mains plug. The mains plug on this unit must be unobstructed at all times and be readily operable. Mains Supply: The mains operating voltage of this unit is on the rating plate on the rear. In the UK this is 230/240 V. 1
The appliance cord is terminated with a UK approved mains plug fitted with a 3A fuse. If the fuse needs to be replaced, an ASTA or BSI approved BS1362 fuse rated at 3A must be used. If you need to change the mains plug, remove the fuse and dispose of this plug safely immediately after cutting it from the cord. The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the code: Blue: NEUTRAL; Brown: LIVE: As these colours may not correspond to the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The BLUE wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N or coloured BLUE or BLACK. The BROWN wire must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L or coloured 3A FUSE BROWN or RED. BS 1362 DO NOT connect either of these wires to the BLUE BROWN terminal marked E, or (Live) coloured green or green (Neutral) and yellow, or marked by the earth symbol. Class II construction double insulated. This product must not be connected to earth.
WARNING: DANGER OF RADIATION These labels tell you that the unit contains a laser component. Opening the CD compartment lid and defeating the safety interlocks will expose the user to radiation from the laser beam. Do not stare into the laser while it is operating.
MC-607 User Manual INTRODUCTION Your MC-607 is a fully Integrated Music System with CD/MP3 player, FM/AM tuner, iPod dock and built-in 2.1 speaker system. A headphone output is provided for personal listening. UNPACKING The carton should contain: ! The MC-607 Music System. ! Remote Handset. ! Operating Manual. LOUDSPEAKERS Your unit includes built-in left and right stereo speakers and also a sub-woofer for added bass. The sub-woofer cabinet has a rear-mounted port. Leave a few centimetres/inches clearance behind the unit to allow the port to work effectively. For best performance, ensure that the unit stands in a location where the sound from the front mounted speakers is not obstructed, and also check that small items such as ornaments are not too close to the unit where they may vibrate or rattle with the low frequency sound from the sub-woofer.
PLACEMENT Place the unit on a sturdy table or shelf where it cannot get knocked over and where there is a clear line of sight to the remote handset. Make sure that there is a clearance of several centimetres/inches around the unit for ventilation.
