Rules
Introduction This document contains the officials rules for the “TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers”, which will take place on the 28-‐29th of Octobre 2015. All players are subject to the rules at any time during the competition, including, but not limited to, the qualifiers and the final phase and these apply to players, coaches and any other person taking part in the Championship. The transgression of the rules may be sanctionned as indicated in this document. Note that championship administrators will always have the last word, and have the power to comment any circumstance undefined in the following document, and in extreme cases may bypass the rules in order to preserve Fair-‐Play and sportsmanship.

1 DEFINITIONS
1.1
Participants
The players taking part in the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers are referred to as « Participants ».
1.2
Organizers The TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers are organized by the French branch of ESLGaming.com (referred to as « ESL » or « ESL Gaming »). The TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers are managed by SARL Turtle Entertainment France, whose headquarters are located at: Turtle Entertainment France 5, rue des artisans 37300 JOUE-‐LES-‐TOURS RCS 515 339 653 00013 TOURS The TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers are managed by Championship managers which can delegate certain decisions and tasks to official ESL referees, if need be in order to keep the championship running. People in the below table are authorized personnel and as such referred to as « Organizers »:

1.3
Championship The « Championship » is the global definition of the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers. This includes all phases, namely the qualifications and the final phase.
1.4
Duration of the championship
The TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers will officially begin on the 28th October 2015 at 9:00 with the pre-‐qualification championship and will end on the 29th of October 2015 at 19:00 at latest, following the Grand Finals.
2. GENERAL
2.1
Validity of rules
The Organizers reserve the right to modify the rules at any given time. It is up to the Participants of the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers to verify that they indeed possess the latest version of the rules. If any change is made to the rules, the Organizer will inform the Participants through a post on the ESL Arena PGW 2015 website. Under certain circumstances, there may be a problem whose immediate solution may not be found in the rules. In that case, the Organizer will judge in an impartial way and with the primary will to respect sport ethics.
2.2
Privacy
All the data collected from supports, reclamations and private forums dedicated to the Championsip is strictly confidential. Should a Participant disclose such information, a proper sanction will be taken against him/her.
2.3
Code of conduct
By participating in the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifers, all the participants make a commitment to have a friendly behaviour in order to respect their opponent, the public, the referres, the media partners, the webtv and the organizers. If a participant contravenes the present rules he will be sanctioned with sanctions procedure ranging from a oral warming to a definitive exculion according to the seriousness of the words used or/and prohibited acts.
2.4
Additional protocols
The organizors of the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualfiers are responsible of the additional protocols that can be made between two participants. These agreement can under no circumstances be subject of claim.
2.5
Legal Age
The minimum age to participate in the tournament is 18 years old. There are no exception to this rule. The tournament organizer must proceed a proper verification based on official identification documents as ID, passport or driving license to make sure that the players under the apparent age of 21 years are at least 18 years old. If it were found during the tournament that a player is under 18 years old, he will be disqualified.
2.6
Residence of participants
Every participants to the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers must reside in Europe. The list of European States considered in Europe are in green here. All the participants who can’t justify their legal adress in a country that is mentionned in the document will be automatically disqualified (this disqualification can be pronounced long after the end of the tournament in which case we will adjust the final ranking and the rewards.
2.7
Schedule en calendar
2.7.1 Pre-‐qualification championships On the 28th of October 2015, Participants will fight in sessions of 8 players in simple elimination mode in BO1 between 9:00 and 15:00. This pre-‐qualification championship is open to all. The winners of each session are qualified for the second phase of the pre-‐qualification championship which will take place the same day between 15:30 and 18:30 and will be played in BO3 (best of 3 matches). The hardware installed on the systems, headphones and sticks may not be altered in any case. The top 4 players of this second phase will then proceed to the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers which will take place on the 29th of October 2015. Not that as the pre-‐ qualification championships are open, there will be no seeding during this phase and the draw will be totally random.

Note : Peripherals (headphones, sticks, etc.) are pre-‐installed. Participants are not allowed to modify configurations during the pre-‐qualification phase (regardless of the sub-‐phase).
2.7.2 TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers A group of 16 players will compete in the Championship in the following way: • •
4 players coming from the previous day’s pre-‐qualification championship (see 2.7.1). 12 players picked by ESL & Bandai Namco Entertainement Europe based on their respective criteria (championships, leaderboard, etc.) which are listed below :

The TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers Championship will take place on the 29th of October 2015 from 9:00 to 19:00 CEST.
Seeding
2.7.2.1
Regarding the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers, seeding will be randomly performed.
2.7.2.2
Double elimination
The TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers will be in double elimination mode. This means that in order to be entierly eliminated from the Championship, a player has to lose two matches.
2.7.2.3
Hardware
During the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifier Championship, taking place on the 29th of October 2015, Participants may install their own hardware so long that it is suitable (that is, PS4-‐compatible). We reserve the right to exclude the use of a Participant’s hardware device if the Organization thinks it may lead to an advantage of any nature towards his/her opponent, if the hardware may harm the PS4 system or any other reason. In such cases, the Participant will have to use the initially provided equipment.
2.8
Alcohol & Drugs
It is strictly forbidden to play match in the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers after having drunk any alcoholic drink and/or having taken any kind of drug. Should a Participant not follow this rule, he/she will be excluded from the Championship immediately.
2.9
Media
All diffusion rights during the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers are exclusive to the Organizers. This includes any kind of diffusion or recording, such as streaming, broadcasting, replays and demos. In certain circumstances such as special meetings, the Organizer may diffusion rights to third parties or to a Participant during the aforementioned meetings. In such cases, the matter must first be discussed with the Organizer. A Participant cannot refuse one of his/her matches to be broadcasted at a later time and he/she may also not choose by which means the match will be broadcasted. Those who do not respect this rule will face sanctions. You will receive a form regarding visual rights at arrival and it must be fulfilled before the beginning of the Championship.
3 IN-‐GAME RULES: TEKKEN 7
3.1 Client settings
Participants must play with the default settings. Some changes are allowed, so long that it does not make the game imbalanced. Organizers may request that some configurations be modified in order to meet sport equity.
3.2
Game progress
A match always takes place in BO5, that is, the best out of 5 rounds. When a Participant wins three rounds, he is declared winner of the match.
3.3
Match progress A match is between two Participants which are defined beforehand by the Championship tree. They will meet during three fights. A match is declared « won » when one of the two Participants with two of the three fights.
3.4

5 Fouls & SANCTIONS 5.1
Non-‐attendance 5.1.1 Unplanned non-‐attendance If a player qualified for the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers does not show up on Thursday, the 29th of October at 9:00 at the ESL Arena booth, he/she will be considered forfeit from the Championship.
5.1.2 Planned non-‐attendance If a player qualified for the TEKKEN 7 World Arcade Championship EU Qualifiers warns the Organization before Tuesday, the 27th of October at 20:00 of his non-‐ attendance, his spot will be transferred to the best ranked Participant but not qualified in pre-‐qualification. This operation may be executed as many times as needed.
5.2
Delays
In order to keep the Championship well running and to respect timings, Participants must stay in the ESL Arena area. However, if the organization notices a delay greater than 10 minutes according to the schedule, the concerned Participant will be deemed loser of that match.
5.3
Behavior & Fair-‐Play We expect a disciplinary behavior from Participants towards their opponents, the referees, the Organizers and the public. Should a Participant transgress this rule, proper sanctions will be taken by the official ESL referees after authorization from the Championship manager.
5.4
Sanctions The Organizer has drawn out a table of sanctions. This list is not exhaustive and according to the situation, the Organizer reserves the right to sanction’s weight with respect to the incumbent problem. Noticed fouls
