Teledyne DALSA Presents Industry-Leading Innovation at VISION 2016: CMOS TDI Color Line scan, Polarization and Thermal Imaging Waterloo, CANADA – August 19, 2016 - Teledyne DALSA, a Teledyne Technologies company and global leader in industrial imaging technology, will showcase its newest innovations in Hall 1E, booth 62 at VISION 2016 at Messe Stuttgart, November 8 – 10. Industry’s First Color CMOS TDI camera The new Piranha XL color line scan cameras are built around Teledyne DALSA’s advanced multiline CMOS TDI color image sensor and deliver incredible color imaging with high speed, high resolution, high responsivity and low noise. The Piranha XL 8k Color TDI cameras deliver line rates of up to 70 kHz in full color mode using a Camera Link HS interface. Our new multiline CMOS color sensor features 4 rows for each color channel, 12 rows in total; TDI summing technology has demonstrated outstanding sensitivity and signal to noise ratio in high-speed color imaging in lightstarved conditions. See a “live” demo at the Teledyne DALSA booth. Polarization line scan camera Teledyne DALSA’s polarization camera incorporates an advanced CMOS image sensor with a quad linear architecture. With spatial correction, line scan polarization can detect birefringence, stress, surface roughness and physical properties like geometry and surface area that cannot be detected with conventional imaging. In machine vision, it can be used to enhance contrast for objects that are difficult to distinguish otherwise. When combined with phase detection, polarization imaging is much more sensitive than conventional imaging. Visit the Teledyne DALSA booth for a closer look. Uncooled LWIR shutterless camera platform Teledyne DALSA will showcase its small, low-power, LWIR camera platform, Calibir. This microbolometer-based platform covers wavelengths from 8-14 µm and supports a variety of camera interfaces, lenses and state of the art on-board processing features. Light weight and shutterless, Calibir features a radiometric option, providing temperature data to inform critical decision-making across a growing number of applications. Easy-to-use development tools allow users to quickly create an operator interface or integrate with factory systems and industrial robots. See Calibir in a working demo at the Teledyne DALSA booth.
