holidays can be displayed. We have tested Apacer AL720 HD Media Player - a device that makes it easy to play movies, view photos on your TV, or listening to music.
Brief AL720 The media player from Apacer has 500 GB of storage. You can connect the player to the TV via HDMI, analog cable or component. The latter two use a crossover cable that comes with the box. HDMI cable not included. To transfer the sound you must use an optical cable. Remember that you must enter the menu to select whether the player will send audio via HDMI or optical. The player also has a USB port and a separate mini-USB connection to PC. The transfer cable to your computer are also included. AL720 supports Wi-Fi via an external dongle, but we were unfortunately unable to test this.

Keep AL720 can be connected directly via PC-link rear of the device to your computer (mini to standard USB). Here comes the player as an external storage device on the same line as the PC's own hard drives or memory stick when you click on my computer. Transferring files via USB. To make it easier to find movies, pictures and music, you should take the time to properly sort the contents of folders. The better structure you have, the easier it will find the following, as you always start to move up into the root directory of the player after such a film.

The menu at AL720
Easy to use The user interface of the AL720 is easy and you have the choice of settings, music, pictures or movies in the start menu. The graphics utilize the same line as D-links Boxee no resolution option of flat screen fully. But in return is the response when you scroll through content on the player fast. The remote control of Apaceren is not particularly exciting, but it contains most of the features you need. It requires some tilvending when to reel in movies, because you must use the Enter button play button to cancel playback. Reponsen the keys is good, but requires that you point almost exactly on the box for it to react.
Remote Control for AL720
A bit noisy Apacer AL720 uses an ordinary SATA hard drive (2.5 inch) with a total of 500 GB of storage. The hard drive makes some whizzing noise, especially when it has been for a while and have gotten up the heat.

Sound and picture quality Players chewed all the formats we tested without problems, and image quality was generally good. Something dropped sharpness when we looked at high-resolution still images, where the transitions were a bit angular. The colors are neutral and movements in the films fit in well. Sound quality from the player is also good, with a neutral sound.
Practical information.
Conclusion All in all, makes Apacer HD Multimedia Player AL720 a good job as a focal point for your movies, photos and music. The player has a simple interface that responds rapidly. But you're still dependent on an accurate job even when you add files. You start to move up further from the root directory on your hard disk, so you have everything to gain by having good order in the folders. AL720 has 500 GB of storage space, and can handle most formats you need. The remote control is not of the spenstigste battle when it comes to design, but contains all the necessary buttons you need and respond well. With a hard drive in a compact package, you also get some noise with the purchase. For yours truly, it is not painfully high, but some might find it too intense.
