Specifications Visonic Ltd. introduces the Discovery - a stylish, yet durable PIR detector. Designed for use in both home and office, its elegant design and durable high gloss finish enhances any surroundings. The Discovery's integral swivel bracket offers added flexibility, providing a wide range of mounting options. In addition, the built-in bracket simplifies installation and provides greater control over the detection pattern. Notable for its temperature compensation, superior RFI protection and three-position programmable pulse counter, the Discovery boasts a very high level of immunity to false alarms. A sealed sensor chamber prevents insects and air currents from affecting the sensitive element, eliminating another prime source of false alarms.

The Discovery comes with a standard 15 x 15 m (50 x 50 ft) wide angle lens for maximum coverage. The internally fitted pet alley mask provides a convenient answer to the problem of pets inadvertently activating the alarm in most applications. The Discovery is the ideal universal PIR for installer and end-user alike. Tamper Output: Normally closed contacts rated at 50 mA resistive / 12 VDC. Alarm Period: 2-3 seconds. Pulse Counter: 3 position selector - 1, 2 or 3 pulse operation. LED Control: Walk test enabled / disabled by internal link Detector Type: Dual element low-noise pyroelectric sensor. MOUNTING Height: Up to 3.6 m (12 ft) Room Size: Up to 15 m (50 ft) in the “FAR” and “PET” positions 2 - 8 m (6 - 24 ft) in the NEAR position. Installation Options: Surface or corner (without bracket); surface or ceiling (with bracket). Bracket Adjustment: 20° downward, 20° left and right.
