Safety information
B efore reques ting s ervice for thi s playe r, che ck the chart b elow for a p ossible caus e of th e p roblem you a re exp erienc ing. S ome s imple c hecks or an adjust ment o n you r part m ay e limina tethe p roblem and restore prop er ope ration.
S ym ptom(C ommon ) No power. Play fa ils to star t even when PLAY is pressed. Play starts but t hen stops immed iately.
No pictu re. No sound. Distorted s ound.
Rem ed y Insert the A C adaptor se curely into t he power out let. Condens ation has f ormed: wait about 1 t o 2 hours to allow t he player t o dry out. This play er cannot play a disc other than DVD, VCD and CD. The disc may be dir ty and may require cle aning. Ensure t hat the disc is installed with the l abel side up. Ensu re that the equipment is c onnected properly. Ensure that the e quipment is connected pr operly. Ensure that the input setting f or the TV and stereo system are correct. Adjust the volume to a suitabl e level by us ing the VOL- or VOL+ button.
Pi cture is disto rted during r apid advance or rap id reverse.
The pi cture will be somewhat di storted at times: this is normal.

No operations can be performed with the remote control unit.
No key operation ( by the main unit and/or the remote control unit) is effective.
Check the batteries are installed with the correct polarit ies. The batteries are exhausted: r eplace them with new ones. Point remote control at the remote control sensor and operate. Operate the remote control unit at a distance of not more than 6 m from the remote control sensor. Remove the obstacles between the remote control and remot e control sensor.

Be sure to store the disc i n its e xclusive case when not in use.

Title number Th ese n umber s are r ecorde d on D VD di scs. W hen a disc c ontain s two o r more movi es, the se movies a re num bere d as tit le 1, ti tle 2, e tc.
Chapter number Th ese n umber s are r ecorde d on D VD di scs. A title is sub- d ivided into m any s ection s, each of which is num bered , and s pecifi c parts of vid eo pre senta tions c an be search ed qu ickly us ing th ese nu mbers .
Time number Th is ind icates the pla y time which has e lapsed from the sta rt of a disc o r a title . It ca n be us ed to f ind a s pecifi c scen e quic kly.(It m ay no t work with s ome d iscs.)

When w iping discs, alway s mov e the c loth fr om the centr e hole toward the o utside , which w ill not cause disto rtion. Maintenance Be su re to d isconnect the AC adaptor before maintaining the player. Wipe the player with a dry, soft cloth.
