AT ALL TIMES WIRING TO BE DONE PER NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODES (NEC) OR APPLICABLE LOCAL CODES IMPORTANT | CAUTION READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY. TURN OFF POWER AT CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE BOX BEFORE PROCEEDING. Step 1 Remove fixture from packaging. Avoid using a sharp blade on the packaging, as doing so may result in damage to the finish of the fixture. Step 2 Turn off power at circuit breaker or fuse box before proceeding. Figure 1 Step 3 Loosen socket head screw to remove the universal mounting plate from the fixture. Mount the universal plate to the junction box using mounting screws provided. Route wires through the hole in the universal mounting plate. Step 4 Make wire connections using supplied twist-on connectors, attach the white fixture wire to the neutral supply wire (typically white), and the black fixture wire to the hot supply wire (typically black). Connect the fixture ground wire to the ground supply wire or the ground screw in the outlet box. Push wires and wire connections into J-box. (Figure 1) Figure 3 Step 5 Align and lower fixture back plate over the universal mounting plate and ensure fixture is level. (Figure 2) Step 6 Tighten socket head screw to securely attach fixture back plate to the universal mounting bracekt. (Figure 3) Step 7 Install lamp per label recommendations into fixture.
