Pairing the Camera to the App the First Time ●
On your smartphone/tablet, complete these steps: ○ ○ ○ ○

Download the GoPro App to your smartphone/tablet from the Apple® App Store or Google Play Store Tap Connect Your Camera. Tap Add Camera. ■ Android - Click Choose A Device and then Add New Device. Tap your camera module's name.
On your camera, complete these steps: ○ Press the Power/Mode button to power on your camera. ○ ○
Press the Power/Mode button until you highlight Setup. Press then the Shutter/Select button to select it.

On the camera, complete these steps: ○ ○ ○

Press the Shutter/Select button twice to turn on Wi-Fi. Press the Power/Mode button to highlight Pair. Press the Shutter/Select button to select it.
On the app, ○

tap Continue. Note: You may need to turn on your phone’s bluetooth function.
tap Continue.
On the camera, ○
Press the Shutter/Select button to select GoPro App.

On the app, complete these steps: ○
Tap Continue.
○
Enter the PIN that is listed on the camera's LCD screen, then tap Pair.
○
Enter a name and password for your camera.
○
Tap Update Your Camera.
For iOS users: ○
Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your phone and select your camera name, enter th then return to the app.
○
You will see a blue dot next to the camera name indicated that it is connected.
○
Tap your camera name to connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi network and you are all set!
Using the GoPro App ●
First, turn on Wireless on the camera. ○

To do so with the touchscreen: ■ With Swipe left on the touchscreen to open the settings menu. ■ Tap Setup, and then tap Wireless. ■ Tap the On/Off slider to change setting. ■ Tap Back. ■ Tap the Exit X. To do so with the buttons: ■ Press the Power/Mode button to cycle to Setup. ■ Press the Shutter/Select button to select it. ■ Press the Power/Mode button to cycle to Wireless. ■ Press the Shutter/Select button to select turn it on or off. ■ Press the Settings/Tag button to exit the settings menu.

Next, start the GoPro App. In the App, tap Connect Your Camera. This will give you two options: ○ ○

Select one of the options. ○ ○ ○ ○ ○

Media Control The App will ask you if your camera’s WIFI is on. Answer in the affirmative. The App will then direct you to connect your phone’s WIFI to the camera’s network. Go to the Settings on your phone. Select your GoPro as the WIFI network and return to the GoPro App.

This is the startup Screen. The blue WIFI symbol indicated that the camera is connected. There are two options: ○ ○

Media ○ ○

Media Control Lets you see what you have captured. Lets you edit and share your work.
Control ○
Lets you control the camera.

Tapping on the Grid takes you to your videos and photos Tapping on the Red Circle starts video recording or takes a photo. The icon under the Red Circle indicates which mode you are using. ○

Tapping on it lets you change modes.
The Wrench icon will take you to the settings menu.

An on/off button for the camera. ➢ If you do not see the displayed information, tap the area where it should be displayed to reveal it.
