The Hayes ACCURA V.92 PCI faxmodem is an internal dialup modem for Windows computers with an available PCI slot. The Model HO8-15357 conforms to the newly adopted ITU V.92 and companion V.44 standards.

V.92 is the new ITU (International Communications Union) standard that takes 56K to the next level of speed and performance. This fully featured faxmodem also conforms to the new V.44 compression standard to make the online experience faster, more enjoyable and more productive. Unlike many Windows-only modems, the Hayes ACCURA V.92 PCI faxmodem features an on-board Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for maximum performance. Pentium-class PC compatible computer with available PCI slot, 16 MB RAM, hard drive and Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 or NT 4.0 operating system. Voice Mail requires a soundcard for message playback. A microphone is required for Voice Mail message recording
* Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) must upgrade to the new standards before the unique advantages of V.92 / V.44 are realized. Check with your ISP or online service for implementation schedule. Compatible call waiting service is required for Modem-on-Hold and may not be available in all areas or countries.. Maximum connection speed for 56K is 56 Kbps receive and 48 Kbps send but actual connect speed may be lower due to local line conditions.
