The Instructions below will help you with turning on the SMART Board and Apple TV.
Instructions on how to get your iPad, iPad mini, iPhone to show up on the screen (Mirroring): 1. Make sure that your device is connected to Wi-‐Fi (ASTATE SECURE). 2. Slide to unlock your screen, then press the home button twice and you will see a screen that looks like the image
1. Turn on Smart board
2. Make sure the Onkyo tuner is on and set for 'PC'
3. Next swipe the bottom section to the right and you will see an image that looks like 4. Swipe the bottom section to the right one more time and your screen should look like this
3. Turn on monitor. Classroom uses a MacMini that should always be on. If it is not on, power on the MacMini using the power button in the back right.
4. Screen input is changed either by the SMART Board remote or by the input button on the board. a. Computer = HDMI 1 b. Apple TV = HDMI 2 5. The SMART Board controls volume for the Apple TV and the computer's volume is controlled by the SMART Board or the Onkyo tuner. Calibration for the SMART Board: If you press the interactive whiteboard with your finger and your cursor appears somewhere other than where you are pressing, try orienting the interactive whiteboard using the calibration button as shown above. This will take you through an orientation process; just press the center of the object with a SMART board pen. 5. Next press the round Icon on the very right (Mirroring Icon).
6. A screen should appear that looks like the image below. You will then click FA120. You will get an option to turn on Mirroring for your device. Swipe this to ON. 7. You will see an onscreen passcode on the SMART board. Type the 4-‐digit passcode in your device. This could have a slight delay of 10-‐15 Seconds. Once the passcode is in, your device should be mirroring to the screen. *Note if this does not work and your device is not appearing on the screen repeat step 6. 8. When you are finished mirroring your device you will go back to the mirroring icon.
9. Then you will click on the very top option, which should say the name of your device (iPad, iPad mini, iPhone).
