A Fiberlink® Intelligence Brief
Superior security with the light approach. The advantages of Fiberlink® in government and military applications.
For centuries, governments and their military have created doctrines, plans and procedures to secure their information. Doctrines designed to protect against spies, counter-intelligence, electronic interception, ambush, corruption, theft, fire. Having a doctrine is fine, but in a world of electronic transmission and
Advantages of Fiberlink® Fiberlink® offers non conductive electrical isolation. Light cannot be eavesdropped upon or intercepted.
communication, where signals are sent across traditional copper wire, how does one ensure their transmissions are secure? Simple: they don’t use copper, they use Fiberlink®. The Fiberlink® family of fiber optic transmission systems for audio, video and data are ideal solutions for mission critical and sensitive government and military operations. And, here’s why: Engineered with government and military applications in mind, no Fiberlink® product stores, in whole or in part, any transmission data in any of its components or circuitry. Should the physical transmitter or receiver fall into unauthorized hands, they have no potential to discover or reclaim your transmission.
Signals transmitted via Fiberlink® are immune to electrical noise. Fiberlink® does not store or retain any transmission, in whole or in part, in any of its components or circuitry. No compression, scaling or other signal manipulation is performed. Fiber optic cabling is resistant to radiation, corrosion and extreme temperatures.
Since Fiberlink® products move light, not electricity, your transmission cannot be intercepted or eavesdropped upon, nor can it be disrupted by electrical noise.
Fiber optics transmit light, not electricity, eliminating the potential for sparks, fire, and short circuits.
Need to encrypt and decrypt your transmission? No problem. Fiberlink® family of products perform no scaling, no compression, no de-skewing and no equalization. This means that the information is transmitted unmodified and in pristine condition. With benefits like this, Fiberlink® is the right approach to superior security.
Fiber optic cable is more economical than copper and is friendly to the environment.

A Fiberlink® Intelligence Brief
Traditional copper deployment versus Fiberlink® The practical and economic advantages of Fiberlink® are as clear as the signals they send, whether going across town, or to the next room. Traditional Copper Deployment: Video and Audio Transmission for 1 mile Distance: 1 Mile Electrical signal emits noise susceptible to interception
Signal Repeaters are required about every 500 feet
Equipment Required for traditional copper deployment:
The transmission continues to get “dirtier” as it gets repeated over any distance
Transmitter and Receiver Units 5 Repeater/Signal Regenerator Units 1 mile of expensive copper cabling 12 sets of interconnects Conduit as per Building & Fire Codes
Fiberlink®: Video, Audio and Data Transmission for over 15 miles! Distance: over 15 Miles 15+ Miles of Fiber Optic Cable
Fiberlink® Transmitter Unit
Equipment Required for Fiberlink® deployment:
Fiberlink® Receiver Unit
Transmitter and Receiver Units 15+ miles of fiber optic cable 2 sets of interconnects No conduit is required.
Fiberlink®: Truly. Purely. Securely. Amazing.
