In it, you’ll find decor suggestions, exclusive new products and useful technical data. At any time, you can also visit our website or contact our staff, who will be pleased to help you. Enjoy your reading! Yours warmly, Bernard Pitre, CEO Workers and factories that guarantee quality Since 1983, Convectair has brought consumers highperformance, durable and repairable electric heating units. To this day, most of the heaters we’ve sold, even the oldest models, are still delivering unequalled comfort. All our heaters are designed, manufactured and tested at our factories in France. We use only top-quality, recyclable materials that are made to last. Our heaters are tested for energy performance and efficiency in a dual-climatic fluid mechanics room that is exclusive to Convectair. The manufacturing process meets quality standards that exceed requirements, and the assembly lines include quality control checks at every single step. This concerted effort ensures highly reliable products, and the Convectair name has come to symbolize quality and satisfaction. Intelligent, exclusive choices Convectair offers a range of heaters in a variety of dimensions and wattages. Our exclusive design allows you to install an effective heating system that guarantees energy savings and delivers unequalled comfort. No matter what the architectural constraints, we always have a heater that will meet your needs. What’s more, our heaters don’t necessarily need to be installed beneath windows. They are versatile enough to fit any decor, making decorating choices for living areas easier. Whether you want a little extra warmth or an entire heating system, you’ll find it with our distinctive, high-quality heaters. Your only challenge will be choosing! 1 Product No 7359 Programmer - compatible AWC - compatible Natural Convection Product No 7305-7306-7307 Programmable AWC - compatible Natural Convection APÉRO ALLEGRO II 14 - 18 - 26 Product No 7302 - 7303 - 7304 Programmable Natural Convection ALLEGRO 14 - 18 - 26 Natural Convection 240-V Fan-forced 240-V Product No 7831 Programmer - compatible Recessed Fan-forced SAMBA PICCOLO CALYPSO Product No 7825 Programmer - compatible Fan-forced Product No 7835 Programmer - compatible Recessed Natural Convection and Fan-forced JAZZ Plug-in 120-V Product No 7836 Programmer - compatible Recessed Natural Convection and Fan-forced Product No 7358 Not programmable Natural Convection APÉRO Product No 2517 Hand dryer Fan-forced SAMBA JETSTREAM Commercial 240-V 2 Product No 7618 Programmer - compatible Natural Convection and Fan-forced Product No 7648 Programmer - compatible Radiant and Fan-forced Product No 7640 Programmer - compatible Natural Convection and Fan-forced DIVA ADAGIO Towel warmers 240-V Radiant 240-V Product No 7733 Programmable Absence detector Radiant SOPRANO Programmers Product No 7808 Not programmable Fan-forced Product No 7732 Programmable Absence detector Radiant OPERA 12 OPERA OPERA 17 Product No 7720 Programmable Radiant AWC FP module (pilot wire) ECP module (powerline carrier transmitter) RCP module (powerline carrier receiver) For all heaters except the Soprano and 120-volt models. If you prefer, you can manage the Apéro by means of a wall controller (AWC), without losing the advantages of the built-in thermostat. The Apéro performs so well that the 29-inch (2,000-watt) model can replace a 96-inch (2,000-watt) baseboard heater. The rounded edge of the grille and the air intake and output are all essential for moving the mass of air in a room. 2 Exclusive silent monoblock heating element 2 We design and produce our own elements for each product and each power level. Our heating element is completely silent thanks to the monoblock construction, and its heating power is multiplied by an exclusive surface treatment. 3 Simple, intuitive controls Digital controls, covered by a lockable safety lid (on Allegro and Allegro ll models), make managing comfort easier. 4 3 6 Thermal safety The thermal safety mechanism shuts down the unit in case of overheating. Manuel reset 5 Built-in electronic thermostat 4 The ultra-precise electronic thermostat is linked to a thermal sensor located at the bottom of the heater, exactly where the cold enters the room. Together, they ensure constant heat from floor to ceiling, eliminating cold zones ignored by your central heating system. 6 Programmer system All Convectair heaters, with the exception of the Soprano and the 120-volt models, are compatible with the Programmer system, for maximum energy savings. 46 5 HOW TO PURCHASE OUR HEATERS Our staff and our network of installers are trained to guarantee that you choose the right heater and receive a highly professional installation service, above all. Our customer service department and the Where to Buy section on our website will guide you in your choices. Your comfort and safety depend on it. Whether you’re undertaking minor renovations or a major project, we strongly recommend that you hire a qualified master electrician to do the job, so that the installation meets performance standards. Our heaters are not sold in major hardware stores, which carry countless imitations instead. Always ensure that the name CONVECTAIR appears on the heater. From developing the concepts in our factories right up to installing the final products in your home, we do everything to ensure your satisfaction is complete. Our Internet site is easy to use and full of relevant information and tools to help you choose the best heaters for your needs. To make sure you obtain exactly what you need, visit the Wattage Calculation section. A questionnaire will guide you to the right wattage for each heater so that you can build the most high-performance and energy-efficient heating system. The right heater, the appropriate wattage and the best location—that’s the Convectair solution. If it doesn’t say CONVECTAIR, it’s not the real thing. Watch out for fakes! Think you can get expert advice at a big-box store? THINK AGAIN! We know what we’re talking about. We’re professionals. ALLEGRO 47 SAFETY WITHOUT COMPROMISE All our heaters are protected from overheating. In case of misuse, accidental overload or obstruction, a thermal safety switch activates to prevent accidents. The heat-deflecting slats won’t cut and are placed close enough together to prevent children from inserting their hands. All the angles on our heaters are rounded to prevent injury. In the bathroom, the thermal safety switch turns off the heater if splashed or overheated. At Convectair, safety isn’t just an option: it’s an integral part of every product we make and an essential part of our commitment to you. Safe from overheating, safe for children’s hands ALLEGRO 18 48 NATURAL CONVECTION RADIANT FAN-FORCED The type of heating you choose will depend on the activities that take place in the room and its architecture. • Convection is a natural, completely silent process. Fresh air is pulled into the bottom of the unit and warmed by our exclusive cast aluminum heating element. It gently exits through the slats at the top, angled to create a constant movement of heat throughout the room, from floor to ceiling. • Radiant heaters diffuse direct, perceptible heat that feels like the sun’s rays. In complete silence, the heat is directed toward you and envelops you. • Fan-forced units are designed to heat a space quickly and intensely. They’re ideal for entrance halls, to combat incoming blasts of cold air, and for bathrooms, to rapidly increase the amount of heat on demand. Some of our heaters offer a combination of two types of heat. That’s heat made to measure and on demand, just the way you want it—for complete, lasting comfort. SAFETY It’s a must.
