The – Lightweight workhorse Making a good thing even better is a tried-and-tested development concept at RUCK. The new PODOLOG NOVA 3 is a brilliant example. With additional noise optimisation it is now even quieter, and thanks to the modified construction it is almost 1 kg lighter than comparable products. The effective improvement of the handpiece and the use of new micro motors allow the PODOLOG NOVA 3 to deliver powerful performance. As a servicefriendly feature, the clamping fixture is easy to clean at home. The smooth touch-operated control panel and removable magnetic control knob allow all surfaces of the unit to be cleaned and disinfected with ease.

vs. PATENTED SUCTION TURBINE Quiet but optimum suction power. The powerful "heart" of the control unit is the unique cascaded suction turbine with two brushless flat motors and special patented turbine wheel and flow channel geometry. It makes the unit ideal for uncompromising continuous operation.
SUCTION EFFICIENCY With the Nova 3, efficiency means achieving the best possible performance with minimal energy consumption. It extracts 280 litres of air per minute while consuming just 135 W of power – and at the same time it is quiet as a whisper. STANDARD SUCTION TURBINE The PODOLOG ONE is equipped with a conventional, highperformance brush motor suction turbine. The relatively high noise level is effectively reduced by encapsulation and the use of sound-absorbing components. The robust technology has proved itself in use a thousand times.
VIBRATION-FREE AIRFLOW The handpiece is a masterwork of aerodynamics. Thanks to the specially designed front section, tear-off edges are avoided which would lead to a higher noise level. Like a turbine, it also exploits the Venturi effect to significantly accelerate the airflow. None of this is detectable to the person holding the handpiece as the motor is centrally mounted in the interior with a special damping system, so neither heat nor vibration is transmitted to the hand.

HANDPIECE Suits any hand. The new handpiece is noticeably smaller and lighter but without compromising on performance. It reduces strain on the wrist and thus allows almost fatigue-free working. Thanks to electronic power adjustment the brushless micro motor with powerful torque of up to 40,000 rpm always delivers full power, even in continuous operation.

PEN GRIP TECHNIQUE Holding the handpiece like a pen allows ergonomic and precise working.
OVERHAND GRIP TECHNIQUE When treating large surfaces, gripping the holder from above and supporting it with the thumb makes for accurate and relaxed working.
MAGNETIC CONTROL KNOB Equipment hygiene made easy. Just remove the magnetic control knob and all surfaces of your PODOLOG NOVA 3 can easily be cleaned and disinfected. No more corners and angles.
FILTER DRAWER The filter drawer is held in place by magnets and is very easy to open at the front. The filter can be changed quickly and easily. The 3-layer disposable filter, which complies with the IFA test standard, has a large capacity. The finely structured inner lamellae reliably bind all dust particles, including very fine dusts. The outer shell hermetically seals the filter so no dust can escape! The plastic lip is firmly moulded on to create a perfect seal. The helpful reminder function on the display prompts you to replace the filter bag after 30 operating hours.
CLEANING THE HANDPIECE OF THE PODOLOG NOVA 3 IS EASY It's important to clean the handpiece regularly to ensure it functions properly. If grinding dust is allowed to build up inside the handpiece it may lead to disturbances or affect the secure seating of cutters/burs and grinders. The patent pending RUCK SYSTEM allows you to clean the handpiece yourself without dismantling it. Simple and ingenious: attach the handpiece attachment and start the cleaning programme, and within 60 seconds air is drawn through the clamping unit, removing dust particles. The intelligent programme control gives you regular reminders about cleaning. Step-by-step instructions are shown on the display to guide you through the process.
1. Remove the cutter/bur, handpiece sleeve and plastic star from the handpiece.

2. Refit the sleeve on the handpiece without the plastic star.
3. Fit the silicone attachment on the handpiece and start the cleaning programme. The chuck is cleaned in just 60 seconds. Then all you have to do is refit the plastic star and you're ready!
