A C D A E B F The port replicator is a useful piece of technology that connects various peripherals by one USB cable to the laptop or desktop. A.) USB 2.0 Ports The port replicator has 4 USB ports which acts as a hub to connect other devices to it. For example, eBeam can be connected to the port replicator then the replicator to the laptop via USB. B.) Audio In the front there is a microphone and headphone jack port. The green port is headphones but output speakers will also connect here as well. The pink port is to input a microphone. C.) Ethernet When plugged in the laptop will have direct access to the internet without being on wireless connection. It is recommended to be plugged in physically for better internet performance. D.) DVI or VGA display adapter For the most part there is a black adapter that has a female end for VGA. This is where the external display is connected to. For example the document camera VGA or the projector VGA. From your computer the monitor screen can be shown. E.) USB A This port is where the connection from the port replicator to the laptop is made. If this cable is not connected to the computer none of the peripherals connected to the port replicator will work. F.) Power The power cable provides power to the port replicator.
