GO RADIO PORTABLE BLUETOOTH & FM SPEAKER TOP-TIPS THE PORTABLE WIRELESS SPEAKER THAT PLAYS MUSIC WHEREVER YOU ARE… Portable wireless speakers are often stylish and convenient, but they fail to provide real music quality. The Cambridge Audio Go Radio challenges this by combining our years of experience in electronics and speaker engineering with the latest Bluetooth streaming technology to deliver stunning sound, both at home and on the move. The Go Radio is a portable, battery powered wireless speaker that is designed to play music from just about any iPhone, iPad, phone, tablet or computer, in amazing quality. The Go Radio even has a built-in FM radio tuner, allowing you to enjoy your favourite radio stations, in and out of the home. The Go Radio connects to virtually any audio source by Bluetooth, and with a range of up to 10 metres, it’s never been easier to enjoy music, wherever you are. The Go Radio allows you to enjoy great quality music, without wires, at home, away, or even on the beach with up to 18 hours of playback time from a single charge. Stereo Bluetooth is found in almost every smartphone, tablet and computer, regardless of make or model – so as long as your device is within range (up to 10m) wireless high-quality audio streaming is easy. The Go Radio will remember up to 8 different Bluetooth devices that it has been paired to, so each time you switch it on it will automatically pair with any of the last 8 devices that it was paired to. As well as the Standard Bluetooth CODEC (SBC), the Go Radio also supports the higher quality Bluetooth – aptX – which sound even better and mean you can get the best possible results from your Bluetooth device. aptX Bluetooth allows you to squeeze the absolute maximum digital detail out of Bluetooth streaming. If your device supports aptX, then you’ll automatically get CDquality playback of high quality digital music, played back over the Bluetooth connection. Top tip! The Go Radio has a convenient USB socket that can charge your phone wherever you go. The Go Radio can charge your phone from its own battery, or when it’s connected to a power outlet. Wired connections The Go Radio also has a 3.5mm analogue audio input. TVs and laptops are becoming thinner and thinner, and often have very small and poor sounding speakers built into them. The analogue input on the Go Radio allows you to connect an external source such as a TV and play its sound back through your Go Radio in far higher quality than the TV’s own speakers. FM radio Did You Know? The Go Radio has a built-in FM radio tuner which allows you to listen directly to your favourite radio stations, without first having to pair with any other devices. The Go Radio also features three presets, allowing you to save your three favourite radio stations and listen to them at the touch of a button. The Go Radio has an environmental feature called Auto Power Down, or APD. To save energy and battery power, it will go to sleep after 30 minutes if it is not playing back any music. The inside story A wealth of audio technologies Most portable wireless speakers only provide low quality sound, but... • The Go Radio challenges the traditional view of portable speakers: that they have no depth of sound or bass, by using a large rearfiring ABR (Auxiliary Bass Radiator) to provide similar levels of depth and low frequencies as many traditional bookshelf loudspeakers. • Digital signal processing (DSP) allows us to get the biggest sound possible from the Go Radio’s compact enclosure. The results are truly amazing and you’ll experience sound that’s louder, crisper and fuller than other portable systems. • The Go Radio provides the best sound quality possible from a small unit, by using a high efficiency Class D digital amplifier to power two 5.1cm (2’’) drivers and two 19mm (0.75’’) titanium dome tweeters. • The Go Radio features a rigid, acoustically optimised composite cabinet which is specifically designed to eliminate rattle and is available in beautiful satin black and satin white finishes. However, for faster and even simpler pairing, the Go Radio also features NFC technology (Near Field Communications). NFC is a feature of many modern phones and tablets. If your phone or tablet supports NFC, you can simply touch your device to the logo on top of the Go Radio for it to pair easily and automatically. 3.5mm Aux input Did You Know? The Go Radio has a useful display on the front panel, to tell you which input is selected or which FM radio preset is playing.
