What’s happening in the Mobile WiMAX (802.16e-2005) Optimization market? Increasing Interoperability Testing (IOT) NEMS are testing with more devices • • • •
Increases the number of potential WiMAX devices that can be used to test the Service Every Chipset has a different interface – Requires careful investment before adding Each Chipset provides different level of engineering data – Must choose wisely Next Generation of Chipsets are now appearing and the Cycle is starting again
Acknowledged requirement to have WiMAX Receiver Measurements (not just a Commercial CPE Device for phone measurements) • Phone reporting rates not frequent enough – inherent in how WiMAX functions • Developers, NEMS, Operators all want an independent perspective.
