INSTRUCTION MANUAL FOR USE OF CAR SEAT “DOMINO”

PLEASE, READ THE THIS INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE CAR SEAT AND KEEP IT IN A SAFE PLACE FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
This product represents "universal" child restraint system for use in motor vehicles fitted with approved 3-point car safety belts with retractor. It is suitable for children weighing 9 – 36 kg, groups I, II and III and is approved under No. Е4–44R-043821. It must be used in forward facing position in the vehicle. The car seat holds the child in such position that even when the child is asleep, he/she receives the required protection. This child restraint is designed and manufactured in compliance with the requirements of Regulation 44 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe concerning the safe transportation of children, the provisions of the product safety directive 2001/95/EU of the European Parliament and The Council and Directive 91/671/EEC "Compulsory use of seat belts and child restraints systems for child occupants of power driven vehicles" of the European Parliament and The Council, as well as the normative acts of the national legislation. ATTENTION! Your child will be under maximum protection of this system, if you follow these instructions and recommendations thoroughly! Following the instructions will ensure your child getting the maximum safety designed into the restraint system during the time of use of the product. Do not forget that no system can provide absolute protection of injury in the case of a crash or road accident. Drive with attention, when there is a child in your vehicle! You are the solely responsible for the safety of your child, if you fail to follow exactly the instructions and safety recommendations in this manual! Pay special attention to the warnings and apply all necessary precautions in order to avoid the risk of possible serious injury to your child thus ensuring its safety! If you fail to follow the safety recommendations, the instructions for use, assembly and maintenance, it can lead to serious injury or damage to your child. Make sure that everybody who uses this car seat reads, understands and follows the manual. NOTE: The construction of this universal car seat is meant for mounting on most automobile seats. A complete suitability exists if the manufacturer has declared this in the accompanying documentation of the vehicle. If you are not sure, you can consult with the retailer, the manufacturer of the car seat or the operating service.

WARNINGS 1. Never leave the child unattended by an adult! 2. This car seat must be installed and handled only by adult! 3. Follow the user instructions thoroughly in order to prevent possible injuries of your child! 4. NEVER USE THIS CAR SEAT ON FRONT OR OTHER PASSENGER SEAT EQUIPPED WITH AIR BAG! FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THAT RULE MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH!
5. To be used only in vehicles fitted with approved 3-point diagonal/lap belts! 6. Do not use the car seat if the child’s head is above the top edge of the vehicle seat! 7. Do not install the car seat in a way different than the one described in this instruction manual! This car seat must be installed on forward facing vehicle seat! 8. This car seat must forward-facing at all times. 9. In case the vehicle seat where the car seat will be placed is foldable, first make sure that it is fully unfolded and fixed in upright position before placing the child car seat! 10. The car seat must be installed in a way that it can’t be entrapped by sliding vehicle seat or door. 11. Do not use the car seat if the safety belts are not well fitted and the car seat is well and properly installed in the car! 12. Make sure that both child’s safety belt and vehicle lap/3-point safety belt are properly tightened so as to ensure maximum protection for your child. Check that the belt webbing has not become twisted. Make sure that the belt webbing does not get caught in the door or rubs against sharp corners of the seat or car body. If the belt is frayed or cut, repl ed well according to child’s height. 14. Do not put additional pads or blankets in the car seat, as they may hinder the safety of the seat! 15. For maximum protection, the center rear seat position is recommended as the safest position in most vehicles for installing a child restraint, but only if it is fitted with 3-point lap/shoulder belts. 16. If you find some damages or instability of any part of this car seat, discontinue its use until the problem is fixed! 17. After a violent impact the seat and belts may be damaged. Therefore, they must be replaced with new. 18. Always make sure that you are not carrying any unsecured objects, especially on the back shelf, which, in case of an accident, may injure the car’s occupants. 19. Do not use this car seat without its seat cover and do not replace it with a new one, unless supplied by the manufacturer. The fabric parts are integral parts of the restraint system and its safety features!

20. Do not use spare parts other than the ones supplied by the manufacturer. This child restraint should not be modified or adapted with new fittings, without previous authorization by the competent authority. 21. In case of a problem with the car seat, please contact the authorized dealer or service department of the manufacturer. Do not attempt to make repair on your own. 22. Never use a second-hand car seat or second-hand spare parts! The car seat may have been in a violent impact or car crash or the plastic may be old. This can endanger the safety of your child! 23. Should the car have been parked in strong sunshine, please check that the child restraint has not become too hot before placing your child seat. 24. Do not leave the car seat near sources of strong heat! 25. Do not place the car seat on soft surface like beds or sofas! The car seat may tip over and injure or suffocate your child! 26. Do not place the car seat close to sharp objects or on elevated surface! 27. Before carrying the car seat, make sure that the handle is well fixed! 28. Do not store the car seat in wet environment for longer periods! 29. This car seat must used only as a child restraint system in vehicles – do not use it for other purposes! 30. In case of emergencies and accidents, the child must be removed quickly from the car seat and out of the car. This restraint system’s belt buckle is easy to unlock. You must explain to your child that the buckle is not a toy and it should not be played with! 31. Store the car seat in a safe dry place. Do not place heavy objects on top and prevent the contact with corroding substances. 32. In case of long trips, make frequent stops, children get tired easily. 33. Keep the package away from children!

INSTALLATION OF THE SEAT IN A CAR NOTE: The child restraint is only suitable for use with lap/3-point safety belts, approved to ECE or equivalent standards. WARNING! Do not place the restraint system on a seat equipped with air bag (SRS)!

ATTENTION! Always check that the shoulder straps are at the correct height for your child. The child’s shoulders should be below the slot for the harness. CHANGING THE SHOULDER STRAP HEIGHT • First, release the strap holding the backrest cover on to again access to the harness. Slide one of the harness straps off the harness connector. • Then from the front of the seat, pull it through the slot in the seat’s backrest and fabric cover. Thread the harness strap back through the next hole up or down on the seat’s backrest.

• Re-thread the harness strap back onto the harness connector at the back of the seat. Repeat the same processes for the other harness strap. Make sure both of the straps go through slots at the same height. ATTENTION! Do not use the top two slots in the backrest. These are for the seat belt lock only.

• Release the strap at the bottom of the backrest cover to gain access to the harness. • Slide both of the harness straps off the harness connector at the back of the backrest and pull the webbing through the slots in the seat’s backrest and fabric cover.

• Turn the webbing retainers on their most narrow ends and feed them through the slots in the base of the seat and then through the slots in the fabric cover.
FITTING TOGETHER THE SEAT 1. Prepare the fabric cover of the booster. Make sure it does not cover the slots. 2. Insert the backrest into the slots. When you press the backrest, the top of the backrest should incline frontward a little.

fig. 7 Step 1 – Slot the two metal sections of the buckle connectors together. Step 2 – Slot the two buckle connectors into the slot in the top of the buckle until they “click” into place. Step 3 – Always check the harness is correctly locked by pulling the shoulder straps upwards. To release the harness, press the red button on the buckle downwards.

TIGHTENING THE HARNESS • Pull the shoulder straps upwards to remove the slack from the lap sections of the harness, and then pull the adjuster strap until the harness is fully tightened. • The harness should be adjusted as tightly as possible without causing discomfort to your child. • Ensure that the lap portion of the harness is located as low as possible towards the thighs-not around the tummy. • A loose harness can be dangerous. Check the harness adjustment and tighten each time the child is placed in the seat. • Finish tightening the webbing by pulling the diagonal strap upwards until there is no slack and the seat is held firmly in place. Now you can strap your child into the seat. • Make sure the seat belt has not become twisted. Also check that the cover is not impeding the movement or fit of the seat belt webbing in any way. • To release your child seat follow the above instructions in reverse order.

SLACKENING THE HARNESS • The harness is slackened by pressing the lever (under the seat cover) on the front of the seat. • Press down on the label marked “Press” as you grip the two shoulder straps with your other hand. Pull the shoulder straps towards you to loosen the harness. • Take care when you adjust the shoulder straps that you do not trap the harness adjuster straps as you press the lever down.

fig. 10 Step. 1 - Place the child safety seat on the vehicle’s seat ensuring it is firmly pressed against the car seat backrest. Step 2 – Thread the car seat belt in through the seat belt route slot in the seat’s plastic backrest furthest from the car’s seat belt buckle, and then out through the other seat belt route slot and fasten it into the seat belt buckle. Step 3 – Check the webbing of the seat belt has not become twisted or tangled and that the lap belt goes under the armrest and the diagonal belt under headrest belt guide then goes over the red belt guide on the side of the backrest. Step 4 – Place your knee on the base of the safety seat and grip the top piece of seatbelt webbing. Pull the webbing upwards to tighten the seat belt. Step 5 – Finish tightening the webbing by pulling the diagonal strap upwards until there is no slack and the seat is held firmly in place. Now you can strap your child into the seat. Make sure the seat belt has not become twisted. Also check that the cover is not impeding the movement or fit of the seat belt webbing in any way. To release your child seat follow the above instructions in reverse order.

fig. 11 IMPORTANT: Before fitting the seat remove the shoulder straps, crotch strap and lap strap and then fit the seat belt lock as shown in the instructions. Step 1: Place the child safety seat on the vehicle’s seat ensuring it is firmly pressed against the car seat backrest. Step 2: Place the child in the child safety seat with the seat belt lock on the child’s shoulder. Step 3: Fasten the seat belt, making sure that both sections of the seat belt webbing goes under both armrests and the diagonal belt goes over the armrest near the buckle. Check that the webbing has not become twisted and tighten the seat belt by pulling the diagonal strap upwards. Step. 4: Feed the diagonal portion of the seat belt through the seat belt lock (see fastening the seat belt lock section) and check that all the slack has been removed form the seat belt. Make sure the seat belt has not become twisted. Also check that the cover is not impeding the movement or fit of the seat belt webbing in any way. To release your child unfasten the seat belt in the normal way.

FITTING THE BOOSTER SEAT 22-36kg (approx. 7 years to 11 years)

fig 13 IMPORTANT: THE SEAT BELT LOCK MUST BE USED. The seat belt lock can be found inside the cover at the back of the booster cushion. Step 1: Press the booster seat on the seat of the car ensuring it is firmly against the car seat’s backrest. Step 2: Place the child in the booster seat. Step 3: Fasten the seat belt, making sure that the lap belt webbing goes under both armrests and the diagonal belt webbing goes over the armrest near the buckle. Check that the webbing has not become twisted then tighten the seat belt by pulling the diagonal strap upwards. Step 4: Check the seat belt to ensure there is no slack and the belt is not twisted. Make sure the seat belt has not become twisted. Also check that the cover I not impeding the movement or fit of the seat belt webbing in anyway. To release your child, simply unfasten the seat belt in the normal way.

BACKREST COVER REMOVAL • First, pull the plastic button at the back of the backrest cover off the backrest. Take it out from the back of the backrest cover. Slide the cover off. The covers can now be cleaned.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS 1. Regularly check the locking and fixing mechanisms, the belts and the upholstery, in order to make sure they are not worn out or damaged. 2. If you find that some part of the car seat has damage, immediately discontinue its use. 3. To clean the upholstery, plastic or metal parts, use a damp soft cloth or sponge and mild detergent. 4. Never use aggressive or abrasive detergents. 5. Always let the cleaned car seat to fully dry out before use. 6. The fabric parts can be hand washed at 30°С, using mild detergent. Do not machine wash or tumble dry! 7. Do not bleach, iron or spin. 8. The buckle can be washed with lukewarm water. Do not use any lubricants. 9. The belts may be cleaned only with mild soap and damp cloth. 10. Do not soak decals and stickers. Do not remove them, they contain important information. 11. Do not use dissolvent, chemical or oiling substances for any part of the car seat. 12. Do not use this car seat without upholstery! It is an integral part of the car seat and can’t be replaced except with an original one supplied by the manufacturer. 13. Do not use the car seat if it has been in an accident. It is possible that it may have structural damages which can be very dangerous. The car seat must be checked by a specialist before you use it again. 14. Too much sun exposure may cause the fabric colors to fade and the plastic to deteriorate. 15. Do not leave your car seat in the vehicle if you don’t plan to use it. 16. Do not place any objects on top of your car seat during its storage, because this may damage it. Store in place out of reach of children. 17. It is recommended to bring your car seat to a specialist for a full check up before using it for a second child or after a long period of time. 18. In case of problems connected with the car seat normal exploitation, please, contact the authorized service shops.
