A much-loved centerpiece of Irish country kitchens for nearly 100 years, and first sold in North America over 30 years ago, the Waterford Stanley Cookstove today combines classic charm with the benefits of cast iron cooking and the burning of wood, a renewable fuel. With its several porcelain enamel colors, the Stanley can work in both traditional and contemporary settings. This handsome cast iron stove is a delight to cook on and will keep your kitchen and adjoining areas warm all winter. And, food just seems to taste so much better when created on the Stanley’s expansive cooktop and in the large cast iron oven. Breads, rolls and pies are crustier, thanks to the deep, even heat radiating from the oven walls – an oven big enough to cook a 25 pound turkey or a large roast. With just a little practice, even a novice chef can quickly master grilling, frying, steaming roasting and baking wonderfully delicious meals on a Stanley cookstove.
The large firebox will hold enough wood to heat your home for several hours. A precision draft spinwheel lets you accurately control cooking and room temperatures. As a home heater, the Stanley performs well, featuring both primary and secondary combustion systems, a controlled combustion firebox and a long smoke path for high heat retention. Convenience features include a built-in thermometer, a griddle and hot plate, plus two simmering plates, and an easy-access damper control. The entire 21" by 33½" cooking area is surface ground, giving you nearly five square feet of top cooking area.

2 Do you want sideshelves? Available in either matte black or enamel black finish. Sideshelves are optional and reversible, and will add valuable working space. You can order one or two.
3 Do you want a warming oven and backsplash? The flue pipe runs straight up, warming the overhead cupboard to make it the perfect place to warm plates before serving. The warming oven and backsplash must be ordered as a set.
