At a glance The ThinkServer Hard Drive option makes it easy to upgrade or increase ThinkServer internal storage. This hard drive option incorporates the latest technology for small and medium business (SMB) server solution needs. The 2.5-inch small form factor SAS HDDs are designed to deliver breakthrough performance in a smaller footprint. These options help enable the creation of high-density ThinkServer systems that provide superior performance for demanding applications. Features and benefits of ThinkServer SAS drives: •
1 Serial Attached SCSI 6.0 Gb/s interface (10K rpm or 15K rpm) for 146 GB and 73 GB capacity • High level of reliability • High I/O per second (IOPS) for increased performance • Small form factor (2.5-inch) The 300 GB 10K rpm SATA Slim Hot-Swap provides a 2.5-inch form factor option for ThinkServer. The addition of a 10K rpm SATA offering to the ThinkServer family of 2.5-inch HDDs will offer the highest-performing SFF SATA option and a wider selection of 2.5-inch choices to satisfy the range of potential applications. To give your ThinkServer solution the best-of-breed reliability, industry-leading performance, and an easy-to-manage solution, Lenovo introduces new SAS hard drives to support the new RD210 and RD220 rack server platform. ThinkServer SAS and SATA drives provide higher through-put and reliability for mission-critical and mid-market applications while providing scalable storage solutions for SMBs. • New ThinkServer SAS drives feature Hot-Swap carriages and come in small form factor with a standard three-year warranty.
