Operation Skull Tuner Owner's Manual Thank you and congratulations on your purchase of the skull tuner. Using proprietary tuning software, the Skull tuner is faster and more accurate than other tuners of its kind. Product description Skull tuner is a Guitar / Bass tuner; with a 30ms response time, steady detection and accurate tuning. Note: the 1ststring and the 6th string use the "1/6" tooth PRODUCT INTERFACE Accuracy Indicator MIC String number OFF/ Guitar /Bass 1. Slide the three-position switch to "Guitar" or "Bass" position to turn on the Skull tuner. The LED's will light in sequence from the left(see note 1.) "eye" to the right"eye", from the "1/6" LED to the"5" LED "teeth" and from the left upper bone (signal detector) to the right bottom bone (signal detector). The left"eye" will remain RED if the switch is set to Guitar; the right "eye" will remain RED if the switch is set to Bass. Plug your instrument into the INPUT jack. 2. GUITAR: Slide the three-position switch to the "Guitar" position. Please replace the battery as soon as possible. The accuracy LEDs will tell which way you should tune. Make sure the lighted string number LED is showing the same string number as the string you are tuning (e.g. LED3) Once the string number shown by the LED is correct check the eyes. If the left eye flashes RED, tighten that string a little more; if the right eye flashes RED, loosen that string gradually until the eyes glow green and bones are lighted 3. BASS Slide the three-position switch to "Bass", and follow #2 (above) to tune your Bass. 4. 4-STRING BASS, watch the 1 (G), 2 (D), 3 (A), and 4 (E) string number indicators. 5. 5-STRING BASS, watch the 1 (G), 2 (D), 3 (A), 4 (E), and 5 (B) string number indicators. 6. PICKUP When tuning an acoustic guitar or bass in a noisy environment, use the optional pickup instead of the MIC to tune your instrument. Plug the pickup into the "INPUT" jack (MIC is disabled), and then clip it on the the instrument. NOTE: Step1 Step2 Step3 Pull out the battery drawer. Pop the battery out, replace with a new one and insert the battery drawer until it locks. Pay attention to polarity. 1. Left as you are looking at the skull. It's the skull's right eye, but you can't tune with the skull facing away from you. The speed of the flashing eye indicates if you are close to the correct note: rapid flashing, far from the note, slow flashing means you are getting closer.
