This appliance is for household use only. Please use suitable power source (220-240V~,50/60Hz). Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. Do not use the appliance under direct sunshine. Please turn off the appliance when not in use otherwise it may result in danger. Please turn off the appliance and unplug the socket when unattended otherwise it may result in danger. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. With any indication of malfunction (including power cord), please stop using the appliance immediately to avoid hazard. Take it to the authorized service center for repair. Do not attempt to repair or change any parts by yourself. Please turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning or maintenance. Clean the surface of the appliance with dry cloth. Do not use corrosive detergent or solvent to clean. Do not swash the appliance with water. Please turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use, make sure the power is off before pulling out the plug and do not pull the cord. When the appliance is not in use for a prolonged period, please turn it off, unplug it, pack it well and store it in dry cool place. Forbid to put flammable and explosive objects around the appliance, and do not use the appliance in an environment full of flammable gas and powder. Keep away from any fire and heat sources. Please put the power cord in the right place in order to avoid tripping the appliance over. Do not touch hot surfaces. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children. Allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning or storing. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of tables or counters. Oversize food, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted in the toaster as they may cause fire or electric shock. The bread may burn, therefore do not use the toaster near or below combustible material, such as curtains. Use the appliance on a level and stable surface. Do not attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is in operation. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system. Be sure to take the bread out carefully after toasting so as to avoid injuries. Do not use the appliance outdoors. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating. The surfaces are liable to get hot during use. The outer surface may get hot when the appliance is operating. Warning: You must pay attention to the potential risk of burning when taking out the toasted slices with less than 85mm length. . 3 PARTS DESCRIPTION Toast rack Bread slot Rack control handle Carriage handle Control panel Crumb tray CONTROL PANEL H DAKER LIGHTER DEFROST REHEAT CANCEL 4 OPERATION INSTRUCTION FOR THE FIRST USE As there is manufacturing residue or oil remained in the bread slot, it may emit odor when first use. It is normal and will not occur after several times use. For the first use, it is suggested to operate by below steps without bread. Let the toaster cool down afterwards, and begin toasting the first slice. OPERATION 1. Put bread slice into the bread slot, two slices can be inserted at most every time. Only the regular slice can be placed into the bread slot. The irregular bread can only be toasted on the toast rack and by only one piece every time. When toasting on the toast rack, press down the rack control handle to make the toast rack uplift, then put the bread on the toast rack. Lift the rack control handle to reset the toast rack after use. Note: - 2. Make sure the crumb tray is completely positioned in place before use. Plug in the socket, the blue indicator at the bottom will be lighted up. The LED will display as H “ 3. ” and the “H” will flash until the carriage handle is pressed. Press the LIGHTER or the DAKER button to set your desired color. The lowest is the lightest and the highest is darkest. The bread can be toasted to golden color by setting the position to the middle. Note: - Toasting color for toasting one slice is darker than double slices at the same level. - If toasted continuously, toasting color for the latter bread will be darker than the anterior bread at the same level. 4. Press the carriage handle down vertically until it is positioned in place, and toast will begin at once. Once the bread is toasted to the preset color, the carriage handle will be automatically sprung up. Note: - 5. The carriage handle can be hold at the bottom of the slot when the power supply is on. During the toasting process, you may observe the toasting color. If it is satisfying, you can press the CANCEL button to cancel the operation at any time. 6. To toast the bread taken out from refrigerator. Set color to your desired color by pressing LIGHTER or DARKER button. Press carriage handle down vertically until it is positioned in place. Press DEFROST button, and its indicator will be illuminated. The bread will be toasted to your desired color in this mode. 7. To reheat the cold toasted bread, press carriage handle down vertically until it is positioned in place. Press the REHEAT button, and its indicator will be illuminated. Toasting time is fixed in this mode. As long as the time is running over, the carriage handle will be automatically sprung up and the reheating process will be ended. 5 CAUTION 1. If the toaster starts to smoke, press CANCEL button to stop toasting immediately. 2. Remove all protective wrapping before using the toaster. 3. Avoid toasting the food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter. 4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread. 5. The bread slot is only applicable for toasting regular bread slice. For the irregular bread or the round bread, toast it on the toast rack. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTION CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE 1. Disconnect the appliance from outlet before cleaning. 2. Wipe the outside and the toast rack with dry cloth after the toaster cools down. Never use metal polish. 3. Pull out crumb tray on the bottom of the toaster and empty it. Wipe it with dry cloth. If the toaster is used frequently, accumulated bread crumbs should be removed at least once a week. Make sure the crumb tray is completely closed before using the toaster again. 4. The power cord may be wound under the bottom of the toaster when not in use or storage. To prevent circuit overload and fire, no more than one adaptor or one extension unit should be inserted into a socket outlet. (Do not connect other appliances to the socket outlet supplying an electric heater.) No adaptor should be inserted into any extension unit or vice versa. 6. Stop using an adaptor or an extension unit or a socket if its socket holes cannot firmly hold a plug if it is too hard to insert a plug into it. 7. This appliance must be plugged into a specific 220V socket. Please make sure the plug is fully plugged-in before use. Do not use any adapter or extension cord; Never use the same supply socket for this appliance and other appliances at the same time, in order to avoid damage to this appliance. 8.
