To Set Up Your Voicemail For The First Time -Dial the voicemail extension______ -When prompted, enter the default password (your extension number) This will take you to ‘Quick Set Up’ -FIRST you will be asked to enter a NEW PASSWORDPress 1 to keep password as your extension number, Press 2 to change to a different password (1 – 8 digits) NEXT you will be asked for a NAME RECORDING -Press 1 to keep default (extension number) -Press 2 to change (eg.say your name/department)
Retrieving Your Messages
To Change User Options
From Your Own Handset - press your message key when it flashes and enter your password to play your messages From Another Handset – dial the voicemail extension______ When answered, dial * and enter your mailbox number followed by your password. From An External Phone – dial the voicemail DDI _____________________ When answered, dial 7 and enter your User ID (extension number) and password (If no voicemail DDI but you have an Automated Attendant, call main number, when answered, dial 7,and when answered, dial 7 again and enter your User ID (extension number) and Password)
After listening to messages :
Managing Your Messages After listening to a message:
NEXT you will be asked to record a personal greeting -Press 1 to keep/accept current greeting -Press 2 to change default recording and customize (you will need to select Option 2 to change and record, then select Option 1 to accept once you have saved it) NEXT you will be asked to list your name with directory assistance -You will be currently unlisted with directory assistance -To accept current directory listing Press 1 -To change current directory listing Press 2
Press 1 to Play Next Message Press 2 to Replay Message Press 3 for Advanced Options : 1.Play next message 3.Quick message 4.Erase all 5. Un-erase all 6. Check unheard sent messages st 7.Play 1 message 8.Play saved messages
-Select Option 9 to ‘Return To User Menu’ -Select Option 1 for Message Management (as above) -Select Option 2 for Call Management : 1.To play current personal greeting 2.To block all calls 3.Is not an option 4.To select next personal greeting 5.To record personal greeting 6, 7 & 8 Are Not Options 9.To return to user menu -Select Option 3 for Distribution List Management (allows you to send messages to a selective group of voicemail users) -Select Option 4 to Change Notification (how do you want to be notified of a message being received) -Select Option 5 to Change User Set Up: 1.To change password 2.To record name 3.To review name recording -No Option 6
Press 5 to Forward Current Message
-Select Option 7 for ‘Quick Set Up’- Quick Set Up will ask you to record Your Name, Personal Greeting, Choose A Password and List Your Name With Directory Assistance (as you would when you set up your voicemail for the first time)
Press 6 to Reply To or Send A Message
-Select Option 8 for System Date and Time
Press 7 to Replay Current Message
-Select Option 9 to Exit This Menu
Press 4 to Erase Current Message and Play Next
-Select Option 0 to Log Out -Select * to replay options
