NOTE: Installation requires removal and reinstallation of wheels and disconnection of brakes. If you are not comfortable doing these tasks, consult your Electra dealer for installation. 1) Tools Needed Required: · 3mm hex wrench · 4mm hex wrench · 8mm socket, open or adjustable wrench · 10mm socket, open or adjustable wrench
2) Parts List (2) Fenders, front and rear (3) Fender stays (2) M5 hex head machine screws w/washers, 9mm long (5) M5 hex head machine screws w/washers, 10mm long (1) M5 hex head machine screws w/washers, 12mm long (2) M6 hex head machine screws w/washers, 20mm long (1) M6 hex head machine screws w/washers, 45mm long (2) M5 nylon thread lock nuts (3) M6 nylon thread lock nuts (2) washers w/6.5mm center opening (2) washers w/5mm center opening

Townie Alloy Fender Set Installation Instructions STEP 1: Installation of front fender (EBC PN: #350098, #350101, #350104, #350115) Place bicycle in stand (if available) and remove front wheel. 1) Select proper fender stay for application. Use stay marked w/red paint on Townie models equipped with suspension forks and green for rigid forks. Yellow painted stay is for use with rear fender.
2) Install front fender stay to fender, using M5x9mm machine screw, washer w/5mm opening and M5 lock nut. Tighten using 3mm hex wrench and 8mm or adjustable wrench.
3) Install fender on fork crown using M6x45mm machine screw, washer w/6.5mm opening and M6 lock nut. Tighten using 4mm hex wrench and 10mm or adjustable wrench.

4) Attach fender stay ends to fork dropout eyelets, using M5x10mm machine screws. Tighten using 4mm hex wrench. Townie models equipped with suspension forks utilize M6x20mm bolts, washers and M6 lock nuts for installation on suspension fork eyelets. STEP 1:3 Reattach front wheel. Reconnect front brake, spin wheel and make sure that wheel is centered in dropouts and that brake pads are not rubbing on rim and that fenders are not rubbing on tire. Check brake operation. STEP 1:4

Townie Alloy Fender Set Installation Instructions STEP 2: Installation of(EBC rearPN: fender #350098, #350101, #350104, #350115) Place bicycle in stand (if available) and remove rear wheel.
1) Select proper fender stay for application. Use yellow painted stay for the rear fender.

2) Install rear fender stay to fender, using M5x9mm machine screw, washer w/5mm opening and M5 lock nut. Tighten using 3mm hex wrench and 8mm or adjustable wrench. 3) Install fender in the bicycle’s rear triangle, using M5x12mm machine screw for the top (seat stay) and M5x10mm machine screw for the bottom (back of kickstand plate.) Tighten using 4mm hex wrench.

4) Attach fender stay ends to rear wheel dropout eyelets, using M5x10mm machine screws. This fender set is designed to be attached to the lower, rearmost mounting point. The upper/forward mounting point is designed for rack installation. Reattach rear wheel. Reconnect rear brake, spin wheel and make sure that wheel is centered in dropouts and that brake pads are not rubbing on rim and that fenders are not rubbing on tire. Check brake operation.

IMPORTANT: Check front and rear brake operation and make sure quick release skewers are properly tightened prior to riding. STEP 2:4
