TRANSFER GUIDE FOR NORTH HENNEPIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE These courses have been approved for transfer to Concordia’s CORE curriculum. This is a guide only for the purpose of helping you in course selection for transferring to Concordia. If a course is not listed below it does necessarily not mean that it will not transfer. View additional credits that have been evaluated for transfer to Concordia in the Transfer Notebook: http://www.concordiacollege.edu/transfernotebook/northhennepincchennepincc. Transferable courses are defined as courses that are similar to a course offered at Concordia, in which a grade of “C-“ or better was received, and have a course number 100 or above. At least 40 semester credits, taken in courses numbered 300 or higher, and a minimum of 50% of the major requirements for the designated major must be Concordia coursework. FIRST-YEAR EXPERIENCE COURSES I. APPLICABLE NORTH HENNEPIN COMMUNITY COLLEGE COURSES CRITICAL INQUIRY SEMINAR (INQ): (four credit hours) Indepth courses that emphasize the process of critical inquiry and student academic success. WRITTEN COMMUNICATION (IWC): (four credit hours) The Written Communication course emphasizes academic writing as a way to learn, teach and participate in an academic community. ORAL COMMUNICATION (IOC): (four credit hours) In the Oral Communication course, students will learn to produce and critique reasoned and informed messages in public speaking and group settings. II. III. Transfer students with a full year of college after high school graduation and at least 24 credits are exempt from Inquiry Seminar. ENGL 1201 AND 1202 (both needed and at least 24 post-high school transferred credits) COMM 1010 AND 1210 (both needed and at least 24 post-high school transferred credits) IV. HOLISTIC HEALTH (PED): One credit hour No current transferrable equivalencies available. V.
