Product Features & General Use
Revision
Fluid comes from Pump via inlet by trigger (9 or 12). Seat to stop fluid is by nozzle, which ensures minimal dripping when turned off. Spray pattern is operated via lockable adjustable trigger. Fluid is rotated before nozzle (5) to ensure a tidy efficient spray pattern is achieved.
Triam 44 – Spray Pistols Part numbers: 410-11 , 410-11A , 410-12 To Service: Gun that is leaking from nozzle area Unscrew Front Body (3) from Barrel (6). First, check Thick Flat O-ring (2) for ANY damage & replace as required – this is the main seal. Ensure that the back edge of Green Spindle Fins (5) should be level with end of (6). To adjust; Wedge a screwdriver between Nut (21) & Handle (26) & turn spindle (5). If required, Hook gun to a garden hose on mains water for testing.
To Service: Trigger not operating correctly Ensure FRONT Ring Nut (18) is screwed up completely (clockwise) towards the nozzle Adjust REAR Ring Nut (22) to set spray pattern for when trigger is pulled.
To Remove & Replace Green Spindle Fins (5); Remove Nozzle Assembly (1,2,3,4) – check (2) for damage, & replace as required Take out trigger pin & slide out trigger. Loosen & remove 7mm Nut (21) from under trigger (hold green spindle). Remove (22,23,24) – Check spring & lube. Pull spindle & shaft out from nozzle end as one piece - may need to use pliers for leverage Lube new spindle/shaft & push in. Replace (20) & (21) Screw on (23), tighten (21) against (23) To relocate handle, push spindle in to shaft to make more space between (18,22) for ease of fitment Ensure (20) is at rear of handle slot Note: Adjust (21) to align rear of (5) with end of barrel
Other checks while unit is apart; Check there are no sharp edges on barrel that may cause damage to (4) or (2) Check (4) & (2) for damage & lube to prevent leaking. The front end nipple of (5) should protrude approx 2.5 to 3mm from (3) – see below. If not, (5) may be binding inside (3) & will need to be lightly reamed. This can also cause trigger to become sticky. To Fix: Remove 3, invert & check that it slides freely on Spindle (5), if NOT, ream inside of 3 & clean outside of 5, until they move freely
