TriScanner™ uses advanced scanning technology to find metal (rebar, copper pipes), studs and joists behind walls, floors and ceilings. Scans through concrete, drywall, plywood and most flooring, up to 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) thick to find wood and metal studs and joists while continuously detecting “hot” electrical wires (unshielded) for safety. Finds metal through surfaces up to 1-1/2" (7.6 cm) thick, rebar in concrete up to 3" deep (7.6 cm). LED display and audio signal indicate when target has been located. Exclusive, patented features ensure instant calibration, reliability and performance. In DeepScan™ mode, using the dual scan and mark procedure, the user can determine the center of a wood or metal stud through drywall up to 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) thick with a typical accuracy of 3/16" (5 mm). • For extra thick surfaces - DeepScan® mode scans through up to 1-1/2" (3.8 cm) in concrete, drywall, plywood and most wood flooring to locate wood and metal studs and joists In Metal Scan mode, using the dual scan and mark procedure, the user can determine the center of 1/2" (1.3 cm) copper pipe through drywall up to 1-1/2" ( 3.8 cm) deep with a typical accuracy of 1/8" (3 mm).
