MAIN MENU Main Menu includes Program Guide, Channel Management, Password, System Settings, Information, Mail, Software Download, Diagnostics, Installation and Tutorials 2. PROGRAM GUIDE • • • • • The Program Guide can be accessed through the Main Menu or the EPG button on the remote control unit Select the channel and the corresponding EPG content (date, time and program name) will be displayed along with the video preview to the right corner of the display Select the program on the EPG content then press the OK button for details To switch between TV and Radio program guide press the TV/RADIO button on the remote control unit Press the EXIT button to return to the program you’re watching 3 3. CHANNEL MANAGEMENT • • • • • The Channel Management menu can be accessed with a user password This menu allows you to mark favorite and lock TV and/or Radio channels Press Yellow button to mark favorite the channel you selected Press Blue button once to lock or unlock the channel you selected To switch between TV and Radio program guide press the TV/RADIO button on the remote control unit 4. PASSWORD • • • The user can change the password of the set-top box and to enter this menu the current password must be provided Default password is 0000 Enter and confirm the new password then press the OK button to save 4 5. SYSTEM SETTINGS The System Settings menu includes Time Setting, Audio/Video Output and Power-Up Channel 5 6. TIME SETTING • • • Set the local Time Zone offset of GMT from -12 to +12 by pressing the left / right buttons Summer Time can be set to ON which will automatically add one hour to current time and when OFF the current time will be restored Time and Date will automatically follow as you make changes on the Time Zone and Summer Time 7. AUDIO/VIDEO OUTPUT The user can select several output settings for the television or display unit which can be changed by pressing the left / right buttons • Language – set to English • TV Screen – select the aspect ratio of TV (4:3 or 16:9) • Banner Display Time – select the banner display time between 3 and 10 seconds • Video Format – user can set the video output mode to NTSC, PAL or M • RF Channel – user can select the RF output channel from 21 to 69 • RF Format – user can select RF output mode of NTSC, PAL_I, PAL_DK, PAL_BG and OFF if RF is enabled 6 8. POWER-UP CHANNEL • • • The user can select a particular channel on which the set-top box will display after you turn ON the power Press the OK button to save To switch between TV and Radio Power-Up Channel press the TV/RADIO button on the remote control unit 9. MAIL • • • • A mail message is available when an envelope icon is displayed on the screen To view the content press the mail button on the remote control unit to view the mail folder Press the OK button to read the mail Press the Red button to delete mail 7 10. INFORMATION Information menu includes Loader Information, IRD Information and Service Information 11. LOADER INFORMATION This menu provides the details of the Loader Information necessary to properly download the software of the settop box 8 12. IRD INFORMATION This menu provides the details of the IRD Information from the software version (IRD SW), serial number (Series Number) to smartcard number (SC number) necessary for service activation or any other relevant inquiries 13. SERVICE INFORMATION This provides details on the current program that the set-top box is tuned to 9 14. SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD • • • • • • • User can download the new software via over- the-air (OTA) Press the OK button to start the download Download progress bars will be displayed during this process (Don’t power off the set-top box during the software download ) The set-top box will restart automatically after the download If a new software upgrade is available, the set-top box will display a message – New software is available. Do you wish to download? Now or Later If you choose Now, the set-top box will proceed with the download and upgrade the software of the settop box If you choose Later, a message will be displayed – New software will be downloaded before the box is powered off. Please do not disconnect power from the box! After viewing, please press the POWER button on the remote to start the download. 10 15. DIAGNOSTICS The Diagnostics menu will allow users to check the current status of the set-top box • Internal Power – this indicates that adequate power is present inside the set-top box • LNB Supply – this suggests that LNB power is present which is essential to receive the satellite signal • Video Signal – video signal is present • Signal Status – this will display the Eb/No, Strength and Quality • Smartcard Status – this will inform the user if the smartcard is activated or de-activated • IRD Information – provides the details of the software version (IRD SW), serial number (Series Number) to smartcard number (SC number) necessary for service activation or any other relevant inquiries • Loader Information – provides the details of necessary to properly download the software of the set-top box • Service Information – provides additional channel information that can be used for signal verification • Press the Green button to retest • Press the Red button to restart the box • A  in the green box indicates no problem however for a X in a red box indicates issues on the set-top box which has a corresponding information or instruction 16. RESTART • • To restart the set-top box, go to the Diagnostics menu, the user will be prompted with a message – Do you want to restart the box? Yes or No Restarting the set-top box will take about a few seconds (please take note that restarting the box won’t change any settings) 11 17. INSTALLATION For ABS-CBN use only 12 18.
