TS/CS Controller Communication Connecting TS Instrument and CS Controller Connection Type and References
There are four options to connect a CS controller to a TS15 instrument for communications. The four options are via a cable connection, with a RH15 radio handle, an external radio or a Bluetooth connection. The connection between Bluetooth transmitter in the communications side cover of the TS instrument with the Bluetooth radio contained in the CS will provide a short range wireless connection between the instrument and the controller. This is the convenient connection choice that will eliminate the need to use a cable to establish the connection. The CS and TS have a Class 2 Bluetooth transmitter. This should provide a communication range of approximately 33 feet (10 meters). Please refer to Leica TS11/TS15 User Manual, Pages 169 – 175 and 192 for various technical specifications for the Bluetooth transmitter in the TS Please refer to Leica CS10/CS15 User Manual, Pages 111 - 121 for various technical specifications for the Bluetooth transmitter in the CS Please refer to the Leica Viva Series Technical Reference Manual version 3 for: • •
