Padana Sementi Elette Srl is a company that produces and sells seeds for three generations. After strict tests conducted by the company or research institutes like Padova University, the varieties chosen by Padana Sementi Elette are inserted into the formulas of Top Green and Natural Garden mixtures. In its equipped laboratory are constantly tested, the seeds and mixtures of the lines Top Green and Natural Garden by qualified personnel; all this to guarantee an high purity and germination of marketed seed which translates into a ready emergence and a optimal establishment of the turf. Our range of mixtures for hobbyist or semi-professional use has two different product lines: NATURAL GARDEN, consistent with two different compositions for low maintenance turfs. Beautiful lawn with broad adaptability to soils, light exposures. Low maintenance lawn: needs low cutting frequency and little care. Natural Garden creates a dark green lawn, with fine texture suitable for intensive trampling. It is preferred in cooler regions with a continental climate. Requires very few cuts as it is constituted by slow-growing variety. Even watering can be reduced to zero, in the rainy and cooler areas (e.g. alpine valleys). It ‘also resistant to winter frosts

Universal and hardy lawn with broad adaptability to soils, light exposures. Low maintenance turf: needs low cutting frequency and less irrigation Natural Garden sud stands out for its high resistance to drought, high temperatures and diseases. Suitable for all warmer areas and regions characterized by Mediterranean climate. It is suited also to continental areas where it is required a rustic and durable lawn. Forms a turf with medium leaf texture. Salient feature of this formula, in addition to slow growth, is resistance to the summer heat, today frequent also in inland areas.

PRATO AMERICANO YORKTOWN III: Blend of latest generation American perennial ryegrass cultivar. Even in difficult environmental conditions, ensures a rapid establishment and excellent soil coverage with a remarkable resistance to trampling and a good precision of the cut. “Prato Americano Yorktown III” can be used also for regeneration of damaged turfs and sport fields. COMPOSITION: Lolium perenne 100% (blend of two cultivars).
Top Green FAST: Mixture recommended for sowing of public or private gardens. It has an high trampling and disease resistance and excellent persistence even with low management cares. It can be sown almost all year round allowing, thanks to the rapid establishment, the creation of bright green areas in a short time. RIGENERVIT: mixture specifically formulated for the regeneration of damaged lawns or sport fields. It contains two different varieties of perennial ryegrass and one of bluegrass. Perennial ryegrass provides the rapid germination and fast soil cover. Bluegrass, with its rhizome production, allows the lawn to consolidate and grow stronger to deal with the future games. COOL SEASON Species suited to continental areas with cold winters, during which these essences retain their green color. SPECIES Cool season species suited to cool areas with good water availability. Has medium leaf texture, deep green color and bunch growing habitus. Furthermore the species is characterized by exceptional speed of settlement and excellent resistance to trampling.
PRESIDIO (USA) Dark color variety, with a quick establishment and high density. It tolerates low cuts. Excellent diseases resistance. JACKENTO (USA) Variety endowed with medium green color and good summer performance. Quick establishment, also in non optimal condition. very resistant to trampling

Poa pratensis
Species suited to cold and humid climates, characterized by medium leaf texture and a well expanded root system. It spreads vegetatively by rapid developing rhizomes and is able to recover every damage in the turf. Form dense lawns with medium resistance to trampling. Good resistance to low temperatures.
EVORA (DK) This variety has an excellent trampling resistance, ideal in mixtures with tall fescue. Dark green color. BLUE SAPPHIRE (USA) American variety with good diseases summer drought resistance. Forms a very dense turf. Dark green color. MARAUDER (USA) Compact variety, dark color, excellent winter color retention with an early spring green up. Good disease resistance.

Festuca arundinacea
This species shows the greatest resistance to high temperatures and drought among cool season grasses, but It has also a good resistance to low temperatures. Medium leaf texture and bunch growing habitus, forms very hardy and durable turfs with good density and excellent resistance to trampling. It has an average speed of establishment and low maintenance requirements. Generally does not withstand low mowing height.
LEXINGTON (USA) Dark green color variety. It stands out for increased tillering capacity, and its able to form a very dense turf. High resistance to summer and winter stresses, is capable of an early spring green up. ARABIA (USA) This variety shows a dark green color, a medium leaf texture, good density and resistance to disease. High hardiness and trampling resistance.

Bunch species able to form high density turfs. Requires cutting height slightly higher than A. stolonifera and high intensity of maintenance.
HIGHLAND (USA) Well known variety that has an erect growing habitus and blue-green leaf color. It also adapts to infertile soils.

Species native to the cold and humid climates. It shows a typical creeping growing with well developed stolons. Very demanding, requires a high level of maintenance and tolerates very low mowing heights. Absolutely the best species for high quality turfs.
PENNCROSS (USA) Varieties with good vegetative vigor, fine leaf texture. Excellent wear resistance, and good disease tolerance. INDIPENDENCE (USA) Varieties selected for diseases resistance (in particular dollar spot) and cut quality.Intense green color. PINEHURST (ALPHA in USA) Excellent variety that ensures good results also with average maintenance levels, thanks to fast soil covering capacity and exceptional density.

White clover is suitable for small areas. It forms creeping stems and is very decorative due to the leaf shape and intense flowering in spring-summer.
HUIA Variety with medium - short size middle leaves, forms a very compact lawn. RONNY Short size with small leaves particularly suitable when good ornamental effect and low maintenance are required.

WARM SEASON Species adapted to Mediterranean environments with warm summers and mild winters. If sown in environments with SPECIES cold winters, these species lose their green color during winter months, and then regenerate in spring. Coarse textured species, forms a very dense and aggressive turf. Requires low maintenance levels.

Medium-fine textured species that forms turfs with excellent density. It tolerates the low cuts. Very resistant to summer drought and high temperatures. Excellent strength and recuperative ability after intense trampling
COMMON Commercial type Sowing rate: uncoated seed 7-8 g/m2, 50% coated seed 14-18 g/m2 BLACK JACK Dark green color variety, good spring green up and good trampling resistance. Sowing rate: 50% coated seed 14-18 g/m2. LA PALOMA is characterized by the production of very long stolons with short internodes. For this reason provides good quality and high density turfs. Intense green color and medium winter dormancy. Sowing rate: 50% coated seed 14-18 g/m2.
Dichondra repens
Dicotyledonous species with creeping growing, tolerates heat and drought. Produces very decorative heart shaped leafs and it requires few cuts.

Warm season species with coarse leaf texture, generates a low demanding lawn, but it can’t stand low cut. Very hardy and resistant, suitable for low-maintenance lawns in poor soils or drought conditions.

This warm season species has the greatest saline tolerance among turf grasses, and very low fertilization demand. Excellent resistance to heat and drought, forms a green-blue colored turf.
SEASPRAY The first released improved seeded paspalum. Ideal for temperate/hot humid coastal climate. Aggressive cultivar, with good drought tolerance, trampling and low cuts resistance.

Warm season species that shows an high winter color retention and a short winter dormancy. Excellent resistance to heat, drought and diseases, is fairly resistant to saline soils. Low maintenance needs, and aggressive growing.
KIKUYU GRASS AZ-1 Very dark variety of latest generation. Compared to other varieties of Pennisetum has a greater winter color retention, a finer texture, and good recuperative ability. WHITTET Cultivar selected in Australia. Very hardy, with slightly coarser leaf texture than AZ-1. Very aggressive, with an excellent speed of establishment.
