Front DIFFICULTY LEVEL: HOW TO PLAY: TURNING YOUR RUBIK’S SLIDE ON: The Rubik’s Slide is a puzzle game that is easy to learn and impossible to put down! The interface consists of a 3 x 3 grid of random red and blue lighted squares. The object of the game is to rearrange the red and blue lighted squares until they match the solution for that puzzle. Players can check the solution by pressing and holding the button. To reach the solution, players can move the puzzle by shifting the Rubik’s Slide face left, right, up, or down, or by twisting the top clockwise or counterclockwise. OFF 1 OFF 2 - Free Play Mode: Slide the switch to to start the Rubik’s Slide in Free Play Mode. In Free Play Mode, you can play puzzle after puzzle continuously. Press and hold the button to see the puzzle’s goal. - Lightning Round Mode: Slide the switch to to start the Rubik’s Slide in Lightning Round Mode. In Lightning Round Mode, race against the clock to finish all ten puzzles. 3 4 Twist it! Start the puzzle. Slide it! 5 Match to solve! OFF - Slide the switch to OFF to turn the Rubik’s Slide off. Once you select your game mode and the opening music plays, the difficulty select screen will appear. You can slide the top panel up or down to choose between three levels of difficulty: Red Blue Slide the top panel Easy Mode Medium Mode Hard Mode Blank 1) Easy – Easy Mode uses two colors and a simple method of rotation for each puzzle. Rotating the top panel clockwise or counterclockwise will rotate all squares except the center one 90° in the direction of the twist. 2) Medium – Medium Mode uses one color and an advanced method of rotation for each puzzle. Rotating the top panel clockwise or counterclockwise will shift all squares except the center square one position in the direction of the twist. 3) Hard – Hard Mode uses two colors and an advanced method of rotation for each puzzle. Rotating the top panel clockwise or counterclockwise will shift all squares except the center square one position in the direction of the twist. RUBIK’S SLIDE BUTTON DESCRIPTION: (Score) (Check) (Start) - Check Button: • Press and hold this button to see the puzzle’s goal. Release to return to the puzzle. - Start Button: • Press this button while you are in the difficulty select screen to start the game in the selected difficulty. • Press this button while in the game to restart the current puzzle back to the original array. - Score Button: • Press this button while you are in the difficulty select screen to hear your top score in that difficulty. • Press this button while in the game to find out your current score. RUBIK’S SLIDE GAME MODES: ADDITIONAL FEATURES: The Rubik’s Slide has two challenging game modes to choose from See how many puzzles you can beat in Free Play or race against the clock in Lightning Round! • Press and hold and ▲ for three seconds to enter the Volume Control menu. The Volume Control menu will appear as a red lighted square surrounded by blue lighted squares. Rotate clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the volume from 0 (only red light lit) to 8 (all lights lit). To select the desired volume and return to the difficulty menu or your current puzzle, press and hold and ▲ for three seconds. Volume settings will be saved even after the unit has been turned off. NOTE- If you do not press and hold and ▲, the Rubik’s Slide will set the desired volume and return you to the difficulty select screen or your current puzzle automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity. – Free Play Mode: If you slide the switch to , you can play the Rubik’s Slide in Free Play Mode. In this mode, you can play puzzles in your selected difficulty level continuously! There are over 10,000 puzzles in the Rubik’s Slide - how many can you beat in a row? Press the = button at any time during a puzzle to find out how many puzzles you have solved or press the = button at the difficulty select screen to find out the top score for that difficulty. – Lightning Round Mode: If you slide the switch to , you can play the Rubik’s Slide in Lightning Round Mode. In this mode, be as quick as you can to see if you can beat all ten puzzles before time runs out. Each timed challenge is an assortment of easy, medium, and hard puzzles. The time allotted for each puzzle is determined by its individual difficulty. The timer will count down from the beginning of each new puzzle as the puzzles get more and more difficult. If you beat all ten puzzles in a row, you win! Press the = button at any time during a puzzle to find out how many puzzles you have solved or press the = button at the difficulty select screen to find out the top score for that difficulty. • To return to the difficulty menu at any time, press and hold the ▲ button for three seconds. NOTE - You will exit permanently out of your current puzzle and score if you return to the difficulty level select screen. • Sleep Mode: The Rubik’s Slide will go to sleep automatically after 2 minutes of inactivity. Press the or ▲ button to turn the game back on and return to your puzzle. NOTE - If you slide the game mode switch to another mode or off, your current game will be lost. WARNING: You will lose your saved high scores and any puzzle you are currently working on if you perform a factory level reset. BATTERY INSTALLATION • Unscrew the battery cover with a Phillips screwdriver ( ). • Insert 3 x AAA/LR03 (1.5V) batteries with the positive (+) and negative (-) ends facing in the proper direction as indicated in the battery compartment. • Replace the battery cover and tighten screw. Ages 8+ SAFETY BATTERY USAGE • Different types of batteries or new and used batteries are not to be mixed. • Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. • Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. • Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used. • Batteries are to be inserted with the correct polarity. • Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy. • The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. • Do not dispose the batteries in fire, batteries may leak or explode. • Batteries should be replaced by an adult. • Please keep details for future reference. • Alkaline batteries are recommended. CARING FOR YOUR DEVICE • If the display becomes dim or malfunctions, replace the batteries. • After replacing batteries, slide the game mode switch to or to ensure proper functioning. In this case, turn the Rubik’s Slide off and on by sliding the game mode switch to reset the game.
