Tutorial 1: How to make a nametag in Doodle3D Transform Welcome to this written Doodle3D Transform tutorial. Today we will show you how to design a Nametag with Transform in your classroom.   Find us online:  www.doodle3d.com   www.facebook.com/doodle3d   Doodle3D B.V. - Europalaan 2b - 3526 KS Utrecht - NL  [email protected]   KvK: 64580083 – BTW NL8557.28.607.B01  Required materials: - at least one 3D printer a Doodle3D Transform Classroom an internet connection up to 40 Tablets, laptops or PC’s with Safari, Chrome, Edge or Firefox browser a Computer with Cura (Slicer program) on it optional: a Doodle3D WiFi-Box (Slices for you and prints wirelessly to compatible printers) Design time: 15 to 30 minutes Printing time: 20 to 40 minutes per Nametag Difficulty: Easy There are a couple of good reasons why a Nametag is a good first project to start with: 1. Nametags are quite flat, so they will not take long to print 2. They are not complex, and thus very easy for students to design themselves 3. They can have as little or as much decoration as the class has time for, plenty of room to get creative and personalize them 4. Students can wear them afterwards! Setting up: Logging the devices into the Transform account: 1. All devices will need to open a browser window and go to website transform.doodle3d.com 2. Log-in on all devices using your Classroom license log-in 3. Everyone can click ‘Draw a doodle’ to open Transform Settling on a naming convention: 30 students in a class will produce 30 designs, and they all get saved to the same ‘My Doodles’ folder. Make sure to settle on a good naming convention so you can easily find who made what afterwards. For example - class_studentname_nametag Tip: To make it easier you can ‘Save’ the blank canvas with a good name yourself, before handing the device to the student. When the student wants to save their design the initial name you used will be suggested in the same field that the student can use without changing the name, overwriting the first empty save. Tell your students to save regularly and not close the browser until they have saved their design.   Find us online:  www.doodle3d.com   www.facebook.com/doodle3d   Doodle3D B.V. - Europalaan 2b - 3526 KS Utrecht - NL  [email protected]   KvK: 64580083 – BTW NL8557.28.607.B01  The interface tools we’ll be using: Tools: Shapes tool Paintbucket tool Context menu: Fill toggle Color selection Align selection Step 1: The basic shape Deciding on a basic shape of the Nametag. A rectangle is a good place to start. To add some variety we will mix a Rectangle and a Hectagon together. 1.
