U9 Kestrels
Another fab season for the Kestrels valiantly led by the brilliant coaching team Chris Pullan ; Jamie Holmes and Chris Schroeder !! Our team : Ben – what can I say? We’ve stopped counting the goals he has saved us with yet one more tackle. Some great play bringing the ball out of the back and has learnt to keep his feet – turning into a neat player if all that comes back next year. Cheers to you Ben! Caleb – when not singing has a shot which takes back the keeper, the net and the goal. Very handy! Fantastic pace, fantastic effort and a desire to win the game which keeps everyone involved. Good stuff Caleb! Danny – shot stopping and striking duties have kept Danny busy throughout the year. Good work in the latter half of the year to use his pace to great effect when out of goal to keep the opposition honest. Just what the team needed!
Eddy – an ever present forward known to knick the goals that others wouldn’t get but showing signs at the end of the season as a defender with the knack of being in the right place. A change for next year perhaps? Ethan – yet one more defender left spinning and gasping as Eth’ goes past once again. Great play on the right all season and a constant out ball for the team means we all appreciate what he does. Keep ‘em turning next year Ethan and we’re on to a good thing! James – pace and plenty of it. Has a fantastic shot and when minded is a real handful around the pitch. Thanks for the effort and let’s see if we can have some more of the tenacity! Hamish – the motor of the team. Endless effort allied with a knack for the tackle means his ball winning abilities are well prized. An unselfish chap whom we’ll gladly see in the Autumn! Ciaran – great progress, great determination and great improvement. An ever present in training and at matches and

can put a foot in to win the ball in the right situation. More of that next year and the opposition will have a tougher time. Thanks to you Ciaran! Ollie – class! Unlikely goals, hugs the bye line and influential in bringing everyone else into play. Bravo dear boy – more of the same next year and every year until England nab you! Sam - ever present in the team and with a shot to sting the hands and usually the net. Looking forward to next year when the blonde wizard will be seen again! Thomas – fantastic effort and full contributor to training each week. Has improved every week and has grown into a tough defender for the team! William – end to end fun. A fierce desire which drives the team on and a chap whom never knows he’s beaten. We’re better when he’s on the pitch and we’re laughing more when he’s around. Who knows what next year holds but it will be a lot of fun with Will!
