The Audix UEM-81c offers exceptional value in a cardioid condenser microphone that accurately captures the subtleties of any sound source. The UEM-81c puts studio quality performance within the reach of any home studio, musician, engineer or sound contractor.
The UEM-81s is an optional shotgun capsule for the UEM-81 body that delivers true supercardioid performance. Shotgun mics are wellknown for their ability to ‘pull in’ a distant sound source, while effectively rejecting unwanted off-axis sounds. A camera adapter is provided making it easy to mount the UEM-81s/c on any camcorder.
The UEM-81c has a smooth frequency response from 40Hz-20 kHz and is capable of handling sound pressure levels of up to 128 dB. The UEM-81c runs on an internal AA battery (supplied). An on/off switch is provided to prolong battery life. An added feature is the bass roll off switch which helps to minimize proximity effect when the sound source is spoken word or other bass-heavy sound sources. This electret condenser microphone provides excellent performance in a variety of applications, and comes with mic clip, XLR cable and windscreen.

Cardioid electret condenser is ideal for instruments and percussion. The UEM-81c features smooth 40Hz-20kHz response and 128dB SPL handling in durable black e-coat aluminum construction. The UEM-81c uses standard AA batteries for approximately 1000 hours of use. The UEM-81c also comes with a 20 ft. XLR-XLR cable, mic clip, pop filter and carrying case.
Combination electret condenser set includes interchangeable super-cardioid shotgun capsule and cardioid capsule (UEM-81c) with screw-on preamp. Features of the UEM-81s shotgun are 20Hz20kHz frequency response, 128dB SPL handling in durable black e-coat aluminum construction. The UEM-81s uses standard AA batteries for approximately 1000 hours of use. The UEM-81c also comes with a 20 ft. XLR-XLR cable, mic clip, pop filter and carrying case.
