These readers comply with standard EN 302 208 and are compatible with EPC Class1 Gen2. They can be used with passive UHF badges in the form of labels, cards or tags in plastic boxes. The URC readers are specifically designed for vehicle access control. They are particularly well suited to car park management applications in which passive technology and long range (up to 10 metres) are required. The URC reader takes the form of a sealed box which can be mounted directly on walls, even metallic ones. An optional articulated arm (KFX-UHF) enables installation on a wall or post. This is necessary when the RFID identification lobe needs to be adjusted.
Method of use The URC read head is connected to an access control controller of the ALWIN (SA2) or IBO (K32, K12) system via an L4F card. This interface can be remotely deployed near the controlled access in a protected area and, if necessary, integrated in a box with a power supply.
Installation The reader must be connected to the L4F card reader via a 3-pair cable with pair-by-pair shielding whose length must not exceed 70 metres, and a cable for the power supply.
