Outdoor air temperature: -5°C minimum value. -15°C minimum value with condensing control system. +41°C maximum value for unit in full load conditions. +47°C maximum value for unit in partial load conditions. HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEMS: + 30÷48°C Outlet water temperature range value. WARNING All limit and working values showed in the catalogue are referred to nominal conditions with water to the evaporator 12/7°C and R407C refrigerant charge. For different working conditions and/or other refrigerants, please check the limit operating conditions of the specific model with the electronic selection program RCWORLD. All the products manufactured by the RC GROUP, in its manufacturing divisions, RC CONDIZIONATORI, AMP and SIMAIR, are designed and produced with materials and components suitable to be exposed to temperatures of -40÷45°C without any damage to the material structure nor to the components and machines operational characteristics. In case it will be required that the RC GROUP products, for outdoor installations, will grant working continuity with outside temperatures lower than -15°C, a low ambient temperature kit, with features different for each product, is available upon request. UNICO.A.STD: Chiller in standard version. COMPONENTS • Unit base made of epoxy painted galvanized steel sheet profiles and sandwich panel injected with noise and vibration deading material. • Housing made of anodized aluminium profile frame, jointed with reinforced PVC corners and galvanized steel sheet panelling externally coated with PVC film. • Technical compartment, fully enclosed and separate from the air flow, housing compressors, control, electric and regulation devices, to assure working continuity during ordinary service and preventive maintenance operations and to reduce the noise emissions. • Stainless steel AISI 316 welded plate evaporator, with one gas circuit for each compressor, insulated with closed cells polyurethane. • Evaporator antifreeze heater. • Direct driven axial fans protected by special safety mesh. • Condensing coil with copper tubes, continuous aluminium finning with aluminium or epoxy painted galvanized steel sheet frame. • SCROLL type hermetic compressor with built-in integral electric protection, built-in silencer on gas discharge and crankcase electric heater. • Stop valves on compressor suction and discharge. • Rubber holders for compressor. • Step-step condensing control system, acting on condenser fans, allowing the following operating conditions: - Full load with outdoor temperature from -5 to +43/46°C. - Partial load (if scheduled) with outdoor temperature up to +48/52°C. Over this limit a safety device stop the unit. • Components for each refrigerant circuit: - Thermostatic expansion valve. - Liquid and moisture indicator. - Electromagnetic valve on the liquid line. - Dryer and anti-acid gas filter. - Stop valves on the liquid line and on the evaporator. - Copper connecting pipings for liquid circuit line. - Copper suction line. - Flexible discharge line. - Flexible pipings for pressure switches connection. - High pressure safety switches. - Pressure transducers, for monitoring, control and limit functions for high and low pressure. - Pump-down stop system. - Refrigerant charge and non-freezing oil charge. • MP99 microprocessor control system. • Temperature sensors on evaporator water inlet and outlet. • Differential pressure switch on evaporator water side with protective function. • Phases monitoring relay. • IP 54 electric board equipped with: - Quick opening external panel with protective function. Safety internal panel equipped with door lock main switch, microprocessor display and auxiliary controls. - Contactors on each single load. - Magnetothermic switches on each single load (for load with nominal absorption higher than 44A, fuses are installed). - Auxiliary circuit and microprocessor feeding by transformer. OPTIONAL • LNO kit: - Panels and technical compartment insulated by means of special sound deadening materials. - Condensing control system by stepless condenser fans speed, through electronic regulators directly driven by the proportional signal managed by MP99 microprocessor control, allowing the following operating conditions: ◊ Full load with outdoor temperature from -15 to +34/38°C. ◊ Full load with fans at max speed and noise pressure increased up to the STD units with outdoor temperature up to +43/46°C. ◊ Partial load (if scheduled) with outdoor temperature up to +48/52°C. Over this limit a safety device stop the unit. • Noise absorption plenum on fans air discharge, height 750mm. • Spring antivibration holders (not installed). • Washable metallic air filters with low pressure drops to prevent condensing coil clogging. • Modular metallic nets for condensing coil protection. • Condensing coil with marine alloy fins. • Condensing coil with epoxy coated fins. • Condensing coil with copper fins. • Condensing coil with tin coated copper fins. • Partial heat recovery gas/water heat exchanger. • Total heat recovery gas/water heat exchanger. • Condensing control system with continuous variation of the condenser fans speed through electronic regulators directly driven by the proportional signal managed by MP99 microprocessor control. • UDT, SQL o ASME VIII Div. 1 approved pressure vessels. • Compressor capacitor for power factor cosϕ 0,9. • Safety flow switch on the water circuit. • Pumping groups equipped with 1 or 2 (working+stand-by) water pumps: - PU pumping group with 2 poles water pumps. • Chilled water tank with antifreeze electric heater, unit size G0 excluded. • TR88 system for the management and the local supervision. Through RS485 serial line, every TR88 can manage max. 8 units. The heat reclaim exchangers are installed on every gas circuit of the unit in parallel to the main condenser. The ON-OFF heat reclaim system’s operation is subject to the supply demand of cooling capacity. The heat reclaim device is controlled by a probe placed on the water inlet of the heat reclaim exchangers which senses the water temperature coming from the plant and by a temperature differential which can be calibrated on the microprocessor. In the heat reclaim phase, a special valve which is fitted on the delivery pipeline deviates the gas towards the heat reclaim exchanger totally excluding the air cooled main condenser. In case of an anomalous condensing pressure rise which is caused, for example, by the absence of the hot water flow reclaim, the refrigerant gas is deviated on the main air cooled exchanger to guarantee the chilled water supply. If this inconvenience verifies more than three times in a certain time interval, the microprocessor disconnects the heat reclaim system and shows the anomaly by using an alarm on the display; this alarm is also available on voltage free contacts. In the units with a double refrigerant circuits, the heat reclaim hydraulic circuit is in parallel connected and the water temperature probe is already installed. A special anti-freeze heater avoids water freezing in case of a flow absence and/or in the periods of work suspension in winter season. In this series, welded plate heat exchangers in stainless steel AISI 316 are used. It is also possible to remote-control the connection or the disconnection of the total heat reclaim system thanks to the presence of special contacts on the electric box of the unit. Thanks to the particular disposition of the noise absorption partitions, the air pressure drop across the plenum is zero. NOISE LEVEL REDUCTION The RC GROUP catalogues show the chillers noise pressure level on gas/air heat exchanger side. The noise pressure level on fans air discharge is always higher. With the plenum it is possible to reach, on fans air discharge side, a noise pressure level value of -3dB(A) lower than the nominal one (on gas/air heat exchanger side), for all the chillers. The plenum reduces only the noise level on fan air discharge side. No noise level reduction on the other unit sides.
