Project Profile Union Bank of Switzerland Newport Beach, California Challenge: Create a light-filled environment to leverage employee benefits of improved productivity, job satisfaction and retention. Solution: In order to achieve the light-filled environment wanted by the customer, KI installed Genius® movable wall, the key design element for the Union Bank of Switzerland’s renovation. Genius movable wall featured seamless glass connections, which are now located in multiple areas of the building. This allows for the flow of natural light throughout the working environment and assists in creating a more relaxed working atmosphere for employees. Genius movable wall also provides uniform passive profiling between rooms, creating a sophisticated ambience. Genius movable wall helps to maximize usable space with smooth-sliding doors. In addition to maximizing space, Genius movable wall allows natural lighting to spread throughout the environment, while also providing a look of elegance. Use of frameless glass sliding doors supports the natural daylight within the space and maximizes usable working space. Hinged doors support the need for incorporating standard, inexpensive locking solutions.
