Processor Cores, Peripheral Cores, Interface Cores, Storage Cores and Video Interface Cores are some of the FPGA IP core categories including legacy cores like x86 IP core. iWave's business model is flexible and strives to adapt to customer requirements. iWave recognized the opportunity in embedded industry to have a proven set of well-tested electronic sub-systems that could be reused across multiple products and industry segments. This realization led to the design of System on Modules (SOM). These well tested and proven industry standard modules helped our clients reduce the development cycle by almost 50% and cut down on the time to market. In terms of hardware design all the intricate electronics are integrated on to the SOM, which helps customers to focus only on application specific hardware design. Unlike our competitors, iWave provides customized BSP's (Board support packages) for Linux, Android and Windows Embedded Compact 7 platforms, which are developed in-house. This enables iWave to support its clients with the BSP's for various OS platforms in unison with the hardware. iWave is proud to be one of the few companies to pioneer solutions on the Qseven form factor. RZ/G1E SODIMM platform iWave’s RZ/G1E SODIMM development kit incorporates RZ/G1E SODIMM SOM which is based on Renesas power efficient Dual core ARM Cortex A7 CPU cores operating @1GHz speed. The development board can be used for quick prototyping of various applications targeted by the RZ/G1E processor. With the 100mm x 72 mm Pico ITX size, the kit is highly packed with all the necessary on-board connectors to validate the RZ/G1E CPU features.

Cyclone V SoC Qseven Development Board iWave Systems launched Cyclone V SoC Development Kit – iW-RainboWG17D equipped with Cyclone V SoC based Qseven SOM and generic Qseven carrier card for the increased system performance requirements. The Dual ARM Cortex A9 core with the FPGA allows greater flexibility for the system designers and helps to lower the system cost and power consumption. The improved logic integration with integrated high speed transceivers and hard memory controllers provides increased bandwidth capacity which is ideal for cost-sensitive high end applications.

DM816x Qseven SOM iWave's DM816x SOM is based on TI's DaVinci DM8168x ARM Cortex-A8+C674x DSP Microprocessor for faster and more robust applications. With extreme system and peripheral integration, the DSP+ARM MPUs provide multiple high-performance interfaces, such as PCIe Gen2, HDMI 1.3, SATA2.0, Gigabit Ethernet and DDR3 interfaces. The module is compatible to Qseven R1.20 ARM specification and features 1.2 GHz CPU, on-board DDR3 RAM, Nand Flash, Micro SD slot and JTAG header.

DM 816x Qseven Development Kit
The Development Platform incorporates Qseven compatible DM816x SOM which is based on TI's DSP+ARM Cortex-A8 based DaVinci Processor operating up to 1.2GHz and Generic Qseven compatible Carrier Board. This platform can be used for quick prototyping of any high end applications in verticals like Industrial, Medical and Networking. Being a nano ITX form factor with 120mmx120mm size, the board is highly packed with all necessary onboard connectors to validate complete DM8168 CPU features.

i.MX6 MXM Module The i.MX6 MXM SOM is based on i.MX6 Series Quad/Dual/Dual Lite/Solo core processor. A single ruggedized MXM edge connector provides the carrier board interface to carry all the I/O signals to and from the MXM module. With 1080p HD decoding and encoding and 2D/3D graphics an enhanced and optimized user experience is achieved. The MXM connector pinouts are fully compatible with iWave i.MX53 MXM SOM. The i.MX6 MXM SOM has an additional expansion connector to bring out the special/extra features of i.MX6 Quad/Dual/Dual Lite/Solo core processor. The i.MX6 MXM SOM is simple and low cost yet rugged.

iWave’s Arria 10 SoC System on Module is based on the Arria 10 SX family device with F34 package. The module is equipped with 32bit DDR4 memory support for HPS with optional ECC and 64-bit DDR4 support for FPGA. All the IOs and high speed transceiver blocks will be available on the SOM board to board connector.

Note: HPS (Hard Processing System) is supported only in Arria10 SX device. All IOs in SOM Expansion connectors are 1.8V tolerant IOs. Optionally, Bank 2A and Bank 3A supports variable IO level setting (1.8V, 1.5V, 1.35V, 1.2V). Each FPGA IO Bank (2A,3A,3B,3C) which goes to SOM Expansion connectors support two General Purpose Clock Input & two General Purpose Clock Output (LVDS/SE). Since 3D,3E & 3F banks are available only in some version of Arria10 parts, FPGA DDR4 (64bit) can be supported only where these banks supported devices are used.
