Therefore, if the extruder heating is insufficient (it heats up only to 50%) or you can hear a clicking sound coming from the extruder motor and the pulley moves back and forth, or your model is incomplete (it has irregular layers/walls and there is a lack of material on the top and bottom part of the print), the extruder cable may be broken. To be extra sure, run the ribbon cable test for your printer model and inspect the results: M200 or M300. If the prints are poor, replace the cable. page 3 / 24 M Series Printers Servicing Zortrax M Series includes two printer models right now: M200 and M300. These printers remain similar in terms of design and technology. The most important difference is their size: M200 with a 200x200x180mm workspace, whereas M300 with an increased 300x300x300mm workspace. Therefore, maintenance and repair work can be carried out in the same manner with both models. The following manual shows M200 repair work. In the case of M300, these procedures look the same. page 4 / 24 Unplugging the Power Cable Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable. page 5 / 24 Unplugging the Extruder Cable Unplug the extruder cable. THE MANUAL SHOWS THE EXTRUDER WITH THE TOP COVER V1. WE RECOMMEND REPLACING THE COVER V1 WITH THE COVER V2 FOR EXTRUDER CABLE PROTECTION REASONS.
