Objects viewed in the rear view monitor differ from actual distances becauseawideͲanglelensisused.Sousethecameraasanaidandalwaysfollowintendeddrivingpracticestoproperly judgedistancesfromobjects. •TheBackupCamera'sassistedlowluxlightingperformancefeatureisalsoanaidtoadriver.Alwaysuseyourowneyes toconfirmthevehicle’ssurroundings,asthedisplayedimagemaybenotwelllitornotentirelyvisible.Alwaysproceed withcautionandperformdoubleͲchecksbeforeproceeding. • The area displayed by the Backup Camera is limited. It does not display objects that are close to or just below the bumper,underneaththevehicle,orobjectsoutofthecamera’sview.Thecamera'sviewcanchangeaccordingtoyour vehicle'sorientationontheroadorchangingroadconditions. • Be sure to check the camera is properly functioning, is properly positioned and securely mounted, every time you operateyourvehicle. •Makesureyourtrunkorhatchoperatescorrectly,asintended,beforeandafterinstallation. •Proceedwithcautionwhencleaningyourvehiclearoundthecamera.Avoidexcesswaterexposurearoundthecamera especiallywithsprayingorapowerwasher. •Pleasemakesuretokeepthecameracleanandunobstructedfromanydebris •Followalltrafficlawsandmotorvehicleregulations. •Consultlocallawsandregulationsforanyrestrictionsoninstallationoruse. •UsingaBackupCameraSystemisnotadequateenoughtocompletelyeliminateavehicle’sblindspot.Alwaysremember todrivewithcaution,followingalltrafficlaws.

QuickInstallation: This rearview backup camera system comes in two parts, one is the camera, the other is the monitor. When installing,thecameracanbemountedeitherintherearofyourvehicle(preferablyjustabovethelicenseplate) orinfrontofyourvehicle(also,preferablyjustabovethelicenseplate). Thiskitincludesnecessarywiringandcableconnectoraccessoriessufficientfortypicalconnections. However,additionalaccessorycablesandinstallationmaterialsmaybenecessaryforacompletely secureandoperationalbackupcameraperformance.
CameraConnection: Connectthecamera,usingtheredwire,oftheincludedDC12Vpowercable,tothepositive12Vreversetail lightintherearofyourcar.Then,connecttheblackwire,oftheDC12Vpowercable,makingsuretoground properly.Thisconnectedpowerandgroundcablethenconnectstothecamera,andwillsupplypowertothe cameradirectly. Next, use the included yellow RCA video connector cable, and run that cable from the yellow RCA video connectorjackofthecamera,totheyellowvideoconnectoroftheincludeddisplaymonitor. DisplayMonitorConnection: Connectthemonitor,usingtheredwire,oftheotherincludedDC12Vpowercable.Connectthiswiretoyour vehicle'sfusepaneltoprovidepowertothemonitor.ThenconnecttheblackwireoftheDC12Vcablemaking suretheconnectingisgroundedproperly. The additional video input on the monitor (white cable) is available for connecting an additional monitor or displayscreen.Theincludeddisplaymonitorassembly,whenconnected,automaticallyretrievesthevideosignal whenactivated.
InstallationTranscript: 1.Locatethereversetaillightwiringbehindyourvehicle'sreverselight.Youmayneedtoremoveaninteriorpanel,orothercover,in ordertolocatethewiring.Connecttheincludedpower12VDCpowercabletothereverselight. 2.Connectthecameratothis'reverselight'connectioninstallation,thenmountthecamerainthedesiredlocation. 3.AttachtheDisplayMonitor. 4.Toconnectthemonitor:usetheotherincludedpowercableandconnectto,preferably,yourvehicle'sfusepanel. 5.ConnectyourDisplayMonitor. 6.ConnecttheRCAvideocablefromthecamera,totheDisplayMonitor.
CameraWiringInstallationTranscript: a.Connectthecamerapowercable'sRedwiretoyourvehicle'sreverselightpositivewire. b.Connectthecamerapowercable'sBlackwiretoyourvehicle'sreverselightnegativewire. *Pleaseremembertoruncablesintheleastobtrusiveroutepossible.Vehiclevibrationsandbumpydrivingconditionscanresult,so extracareshouldbetakentosecurelymountthecameraandfastenallcablesandwiringtosecurelocations. *Ensurethewiresaresafelyandsecurelyconnected,withproperisolationappliedtoallconnections.
AdditionalNotes: ͲDeterminethebestlocationforthecamera(Thecameraispreferablymountedjustabovethelicenseplate). ͲBesurewhenrunningtheconnectioncablestoleaveasmallamountofslacksoyoucanstillmovethecameraaround thelicenseplate,ifyoudecidetoslightlyadjustthecamera'spositioningatalatertime. Ͳ After installation, Test the camera before use. Placing your vehicle in reverse should provide a picture in the monitor withintherearviewmirrorassembly.
