Colour Video Printer
Incorporating advanced Sony video printing technology, the UP-2850P, UP-2800P and UP-2300P Colour Video Printers output superb near A6 size prints with 310dpi resolution in approx. 35 seconds. Sony introduces a range of colour video printers, from its top-of-the line product, UP-2850P with four frame memories, through the UP-2800P, a high quality machine with RGB input, to the UP-2300P, a cost-effective model with the essential basic features. With high picture performance, a fast printing speed and a variety of print modes, UP-2850P, UP-2800P and UP-2300P Colour Video Printers are certainly stable performers for a wide range of medical, scientific, leisure, electronic photography and many other applications.
M ultiple Print Modes Split Memory Print (2/2H/4/16 modes) Two, four or sixteen different pictures can be captured in memory and printed out onto a sigle sheet. 2 split memory print (for UP-2850P only)
H igh Quality Picture Printing at High Speed High Resolution Prints To get superb colour reproduction, the UP-2850P/2800P/2300P digitizes each R, G, B colour of the analogue video signal into 8-bit, 256-gradation data which is stored in the unit’s frame memory*. The advanced thermal head ensures 310dpi (dots per inch) high resolution and the digital process enables high quality prints with a maximum of 860 (H) x 976 (V) dots. This results in natural photo-like quality prints with over 16 million colours.
A near A6-Size Print at High Speed A near A6-size print (130 x 88mm / 5 1/8 x 3 1/2 inches) can be produced in approximately 35 seconds using the newly developed dye sublimation print media with high sensitivity. Such swift printing is ideal for image checking, filing and a myriad of other applications.
Available for the UP-2850P only. In two split mode, the whole image of two different pictures can be captured and printed on one sheet.
O perational Convenience Instant Pass Photo Mode With the optional Self-laminating Colour Printing Pack UPC-2040A, duplicate images of an Instant Pass Photo (IPP) can be Flex IPP mode menu printed for personal identification purposes. In Flex IPP mode, the size of images can be adjusted in steps of 1mm/1/8-inch. This, then, determines the number of images on a single sheet. In Fixed IPP mode, the number of images can be selected from one, four, six, nine or 16.
Menu Operation Various settings such as caption input, print mode selection, sharpness adjustment and colour adjustment can be easily made using a function menu displayed on a connected monitor. With the UP-2850P/2800P, the menu can also be shown on the built-in LCD. In colour adjustment mode, the balance of RED, GREEN, BLUE, DARK and LIGHT can be controlled. The UP-2850P/2800P/2300P has three memories for each of the colour adjustment, allowing you to store printer condition sertings. When power is turned on, the latest settings are recalled automatically. These settings can also be accessed using the control keys on the front panel or using the optional remote control unit RM-5500.

Front Operation The print paper and ribbon cassette can be easily loaded from the front panel, even when the unit is rack mounted.

Remote Control The optional wired/wireless remote control unit RM-5500 controls all printing adjustments and operations. Furthermore, the optional RM-91 Simple Remote Control Unit and FS-20/FS-36 Foot Switch are available to simplify and facilitate image capturing and printing operations.
Safety Approval The UP-2850P/2800P/2300P complies with the EN-60601-1 medical safety standard and is therefore suitable for professional use in medical environments. *will soon be available for the UP-2300P.

Multiple Video Inputs The UP-2850P/2800P accepts analogue RGB, Y/C (S-video) and composite CCIR/PAL inputs, enabling the printer to be used with a variety of products. The UP-2300P can accept Y/C (S-video) and composite CCIR/PAL inputs. 200 Sheets Paper Feed Capacity Up to 200 sheets of print paper can be set in the supplied paper tray. Loop-through Connection for System Power Saving The UP-2850P/2800P/2300P has a loop-through input facility. This allows the input source to be viewed on a connected monitor, even if the printer is not powered, reducing the total power consumption of the system. When the printer is rack-mounted, input sources can be monitored without the need for rewiring. Ribbon Status Indication The UP-2850P/2800P/2300P automatically counts the printing quantity and indicates on the connected monitor the remaining ink ribbon. On the UP-2850P/2800P, the indicator can also be shown on the built-in LCD.
