This guide will enable you to successfully install FOXTEL iQHD when upgrading the existing FOXTEL service. Before you begin: WARNING: Under no circumstances should you pick up or move the FOXTEL iQHD while it is connected to the mains supply. If you want to move the FOXTEL iQHD, first disconnect it, and then wait at least 30 seconds before continuing. - To ensure a free flow of air around the FOXTEL iQHD, allow at least 10cm of space above and around it. - If the FOXTEL iQHD is placed with other items of audio/video equipment in a cabinet, make sure all items have sufficient space all around them, to allow ventilation and prevent overheating. - If you are upgrading your service from FOXTEL iQ to iQHD it is important to note that all current content saved in your planner will not be transferred across to the FOXTEL iQHD. Important things to know before you use FOXTEL iQHD welcome to foxtel iQHD IMPORTANT TV CARE INFORMATION Self-install and start watching FOXTEL iQHD We always want you to be able to enjoy all that FOXTEL has to offer, so here are some tips on looking after your television… Leaving your television on the same channel for an extended period of time may cause ‘burn-in’ – a permanent residual image that remains on your screen. DO - Activate the Sleep Mode (that’s a timed switch off function) if you plan to have your TV on for a while. - Turn off your TV when you’re not using it. - Reduce the brightness/contrast of the on-screen picture display. DON’T (For extended periods of time) - Leave your television on one particular channel or service. - Display images in aspect ratios less than the full screen size of your TV. - Leave the FOXTEL iQHD on Live Pause for an extended period without either turning off the FOXTEL iQHD, or saving the current viewing to the FOXTEL iQHD planner (by pressing R button on the remote). Please note: This is a guide only and may vary depending on the make and model of your television, and the intensity of the still image. PLASMA, REAR PROJECTION AND LCD TELEVISIONS ARE AT A HIGHER RISK OF BURN-IN. Always consult your television manufacturer’s manual for proper operating instructions. MAINTAINING THE FOXTEL iQHD AFTER INSTALLATION - When you are not viewing the FOXTEL iQHD, please put the FOXTEL iQHD into standby mode (red power light). The FOXTEL iQHD will continue to record at the scheduled times, but the picture will not be displayed. - To turn the FOXTEL iQHD back on from standby, simply press the FOXTEL button on the top of the remote. This process assists the FOXTEL iQHD and in turn will give you improved long term functionality. It is advised to maintain at least 15% free disk capacity on the FOXTEL iQHD planner. This provides for seamless live pause functionality. For more information, please see the FOXTEL Subscription Agreement, check your TV manual or call your TV manufacturer.
