Safety Instructions: • This device was built and tested in conformity with the safety provisions for electronic equipment and has left our factory in a flawlessly safe and secure condition. • To preserve such condition and ensure a perfectly safe operation, the user shall observe the Safety Instructions and the Instructions of Use. • The required fitting work may be carried out only by a duly qualified and licensed fitter or electrician. • Caution when working on house roofs. These may only be done when all safety regulations are preserved. • Use antifall guard! • The required electrical installation work shall be executed in conformity with the respective local and regional standards (e.g. ÖVE, VDE..) and, where applicable, with the relevant regulatory provisions. • For the electrical connection, it is necessary to install a disconnector unit in the fixed electrical installation, making it possible to disconnect all poles of the electrical connection, with a contact gap of at least 3 mm from the main supply. • Make sure that the supply voltage is fused properly and that a 30mA residual-current Circuit-breaker has been installed. • Use the device in dry rooms only where no flammable gasses and vapours may exist. • Do not start using the device immediately after it has been brought from a cold into a warm room. Otherwise, the condensation water might destroy it. • If the device shows visible damage, no longer functions or has been stored in adverse conditions for an extended period of time, it must be assumed that it is no longer safe to use. In such case, the device must be secured against its unintended activation and, where necessary, be shut down. • Prior to opening the body pull the plug. The motor electric is not galvanically separated from the mains. • Opening its cover panels or removing components from it may cause energized components to become exposed. Prior to calibrations, maintenance jobs, repairs or the exchange of components or modules, the device must be disconnected from all voltage sources if opening the device is necessary. If, following such opening, a calibration, a maintenance job or a repair on the energized device is unavoidable, this may only be done by a skilled specialist who is aware of the related hazards and the relevant rules and provisions. • Capacitors contained in the device may still be charged, even if the device has already been disconnected from all voltage sources. • Carry out any assembly and disassembly of the valve only in the depressurized state (drain the pipe line first) • Please consider flow direction in the valve • Mount the ball valve according to the attached examples in the piping system and take care of the flow direction!

Intended Use: The control unit will bring your pool water to the preset temperature via the collectors (absorbers), provided that the available solar irradiation is sufficient. Any use other than the ‘intended’ one is not allowed!
General: PRAHER solar controls are technologically advanced products that are manufactured with high precision and according to the most up-to-date production methods. Should nevertheless justified complaints exist, these are being resolved by us as quick as possible.
Warranty: In case there is a justified complaint always tells us the PRAHER serial number of the valve (number is laser printed in the lid). We do reserve the right for technical modifications in the light of the improvement of our products without giving any notification. For this device a warranty period according to the valid EU regulations applies. The day the product is delivered shall be deemed as the beginning of the warranty period.

Installation: The device is delivered ready-to-plug-in and therefore does not have to be opened by customer prior to use. For installation and wiring we recommend separate cable ducts. These must not be laid together with the motor wiring. Should an extension of the cable be necessary, cut the cable at the correct spot and extend by using a clamp distributor up to max. 30m with 1,5mm² cross section. Both temperature sensors are galvanically separated from the main voltage. The device works in every position, however, it is recommended not to mount it actuator facing downwards.

Mounting the Pool sensor (Blue): Mount the pool sensor as closes to the pool as possible. De-pressurise the piping system and empty thoroughly. .

Mount the Collector sensor (red) as close as possible to the manifold of the collector and make sure that the collector sensor is exposed to direct solar radiation and can not be manipulated by the shade (i.e. trees, buildings). If shade interferes, the solar radiation cannot be used to the maximum.
CAUTION: Due to the arrangement of the sensors in the system slight difference between the setand the real Pool temperature may occur.

Start-UP: After plugging in the control unit the GEEN - LED [1] for POWER (in operation) is illuminated; the device is ready for operation. The ball valve operates on position 1 (Flow direction of the pool water) The terminals [a - b] are open.
If the pool temperature sinks by more than 1,5°C be low the set pool temperature [3] and the collector temperature rises by more than 4°C above the pool temperature [3], the valve automatically switches over to ‘heating’ and turns to position 2. The RED - LED [2] is illuminated. The terminals [a - b] are switched through.

NOTE: It is possible to reverse the position of the ball valve at ‚solar operation’ for system-dependent appliances! Just switch over the inside slide switch from ‚S1’ to ‚S2’. See schematic diagram.
