Connect the eSATA end of the cable into an eSATA port on the external storage device, while it is powered off. Note: The cable is not compatible to hardware port multiplier 2. Turn on the external storage device. 3. Connect the USB end to an available USB port (Recommend USB 3.0 port) on your computer. 4. The computer will automatically detect the external storage device and install it. No extra driver installation is required for the cable. 5. Once successfully installed, the Link LED on the cable will light Page 4 up. The external storage device is now ready for use. Page 5
