USB-Config is a low cost data USB diagnostic and configuration module. It is a memory area which is easily access as SPI memory by electronics systems, but when plugged into a USB port, appears on a PC like a file on a removable disk. It can be part of the electronic system, or a standalone plug-in module. USB-Config uses the Mass Storage Device (MSD) USB profile. It does not require USB driver installation, and so is immediately compatible with present and future Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems. USB-Config is a firmware for the PIC18F13K50. It requires only a few discrete components and is available in a 4mm x 4mm QFN package.
