1 User Guide Hi-Fi Bluetooth stereo headset BH-X from Telme2 Thanks for choosing this fine headset from Telme2. We hope you will enjoy the use. Please read this short User Guide before use. Introduction This comfortable headset uses the newest aptx technology providing you with excellent stereo sound. You may enjoy this headset for listening to music from a variety of Bluetooth sources, including the unique TosBlueX and TosBlue-X2 from Telme2. You may also make hands-free phone calls from your smartphone via this headset, as the headset is equipped with a microphone. Warning The headset must not be exposed to excessive heat or moisture as the internal battery may be damaged. Please adjust the headband extension for your best comfort. For correct sound distribution, please note that the headset is marked with “R” for right, and “L” for left. Please wear it accordingly. Charging the headset Before use the first time, the headset must be fully charged. This will take about 2 hours. Connect the included USB-cable to a live USB outlet and into the headset. The red LED indicates charging. When light goes out, charging is completed. Pairing the headset for the first time The headset may be paired with a Bluetooth transmitting device with A2DP profile of your choice. Do this: - First you should set this BH-X headset in pairing mode by pressing the ON/OFF/Pairing button for 6 - 8 seconds or until the red and blue lights are alternately quickly flashing. - Then, set the Bluetooth transmitting device into “Searching Pairing Mode”. (See User Guide for instructions). NOTE: it is recommended to do the pairing in this sequence. - Release the button. The headset will now pair with the transmitting device and will be ready for use. This is indicated by the LED flashing blue every once or twice every 8 seconds. NOTE: If PIN is requested, type 0000. NOTE: If pairing is not made within 2 minutes, the headset will go into standby mode. 3 Power OFF - Press the ON/OFF/Pairing button for 3 - 5 seconds or until the LED is flashing red 3 times. Release the button. When the headset is turned OFF, the LED becomes dark. Pairing with the same Bluetooth transmitting devices the following times Every time you turn the headset ON – and the Bluetooth transmitting device is turned ON – the headset will automatically be reconnect. The headset remembers the last 8 paired devices. When reconnected, the LED flashes once blue quickly every 8 seconds. NOTE: If for some reason the headset has not paired – connected within 5 minutes, it will turn itself OFF to save power. Power ON Press the ON/OFF/Pairing button for about 3-5 seconds or until the LED flashes quickly blue 4 times. Pairing with TosBlue-X One BH-X may be connected to TosBlue-X. The procedure is simple. Pairing for the first time Important: The pairing must take place within the 2 first minutes after power On of TosBlue units, and during the ”Pairing Search Mode”. (Red and blue LED flashing rapidly) Do this: - Press the ON/OFF/Pairing button of the headset for 6 - 8 seconds or until the red and blue lights are alternately quickly flashing. - Release the button. The headset will now be pair and will be ready for use indicated by the LED flashing blue every once or twice every 8 seconds. 4 Connecting the following times Any time after the TosBlue-X has entered the “Ready Mode” (red and blue LED flashing slowly), - you turn the headset ON – and connection takes place automatically. Pairing with TosBlue-X2 Two BH-X headsets may be connected to a TosBlue-X2 units at the same time, so 2 persons may enjoy listening to a TV program simultaneously. To pair with TosBlue-X2 the first time Do this: - Pair the first headset as described above - Then turn power OFF - Pair the second headset as you did for first headset - Turn ON the second headset – and it will automatically pair. Both headsets should now be connected to the TosBlue-X2 unit. Connecting with TosBlue-X2 the following times: Any time while the TosBlue-X2 is in “Ready Mode” (more than 2 minutes after power is applied), the headsets may reconnect. Do this: - Turn power ON the first headset. It will connect - Turn power ON the second headset. It will connect 5 Important NOTE l: If the TosBlue unit is attached to a TV with included Bluetooth devices, the pairing process may be blocked. If this happens, enter the pairing process on the BH-X headset first; thereafter turn on the TV and the TosBlue unit – in this sequence. Important NOTE ll: If pairing problem persists after trying above note, a software hang-up may have occurred. To reset the software, try this: Press and hold the a) Power On button and b) the “ – “ buttons simultaneously for about 8 seconds and until you see the red and blue light flashing. Adjusting the volume You may at any time adjust the volume up or down by use of the 2 volume buttons. Next track/Previous track While listening to music from a Bluetooth device supporting AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile), you may maneuver to the “next track” or the “previous track” using the 2 control buttons on the headset. Hands-free Call While connected to a mobile phone, you may make or receive hands-free phone calls as the headset has built in microphone. For your convenience, we recommend that you accept the phone call via the control buttons on the mobile phone. NOTE: If you are listening to music when receiving a phone call, the music will automatically fade out and the conversation fades in. When completing the phone call, the music will fade back in. 6 Low power warning When the red LED start flashing twice every 30 seconds and you hear a “Dong-Dong-Dong” sound, then your headset is ready for recharging. Other functions: LED light OFF function If you feel the LED light is visually disturbing – and you want to conserve some power - you may turn the LED light OFF during operation. Do this: Press the “previous track” and the “next track buttons at the same time and hold for about 5 seconds. The LED will be turned OFF. Do the same to turn the LED back ON. NOTE: The next time you use the headset, the LED will work normal again. Multi-pairing The headset may connect to 2 devices at the same time, for example a mobile phone supporting the HFP profile and a device supporting the A2DP profile. Do this: 7 a) Pair with the A2DP transmitter device b) Turn the A2DP device OFF c) Pair with the HFP device – the mobile phone d) Turn ON the A2DP transmitter device. This device will now pair automatically. NOTE: The devices will remember each other and will automatically reconnect next time they are turned ON. Microphone mute We recommend muting the microphone on the mobile. However, it is possible to do the mute on the handset. Then do this: - Press quickly the ON/OFF/Pairing button twice. The microphone should now be muted. ---0---
