GENERAL/DESCRIPTION. CQube Touchscreen Quick guide showing the functions and messages you will come into contact with on a daily basis. The screen is touch sensitive and is intended to be used with the fingers. NOTE! Never use any type of tool to press on the screen. 3. 3. OPERATING MODE. CQube Touchscreen OPERATING MODE: The menu displayed on start up and when the coffee machine is ready to serve drinks. 4. 4. ENERGY-SAVING MODE. CQube Touchscreen ENERGY-SAVING MODE: In energy-saving mode the machine switches off the front display and decreases the temperature in the water tank to approx. 65°C. PRESS here to enter Energy-saving mode TOUCH THE SCREEN TO RETURN TO OPERATING MODE: 5. 5. SCREEN SAVER. The user card is used for cleaning and setting jug beverages. The user card is supplied by your dealer. Insert the user card as shown in the image. The display shows Service Menu, Jug Beverage, Clean Machine, Counters and you can now step through the menu. To use the machine again, remove the card and store it in a safe place. 10. 8. OPERATION. DRINK SELECTION. CQube Touchscreen The touchscreen is very easy to use as it shows you how to move through the menu. The description given in the manual is a concise supplement with text and images. See also the manual for the touchscreen. If the machine is in screen saver mode or energy-saving mode. TOUCH THE SCREEN TO RETURN TO OPERATING MODE: PRESS for desired drink. NOTE! Place a cup beneath the tap for drinks before you take a drink. The Strength and Volume of drinks are preset. If you would like to increase or decrease these settings, Press the + button to increase or press the -button to decrease PRESS START after drink selection. 11. 8. OPERATION. BREWING A CUP OF COFFEE. CQube Touchscreen SERVE DRINKS: CUP OF COFFEE. If the coffee machine is in energy-saving or screen saver mode. Touch the screen to return to operating mode. To serve a cup of coffee. Do the following: B A C 1. Place a cup under the coffee tap (A). 2. Select coffee drink. To step through the menu. 3. For a stronger drink, press the + button. For a weaker drink, press the - button 4. Press the START button. 5. The machine brews the coffee. The display shows "Please wait", and the cup light illuminates. Wait until the cup light switches off and the text "Please wait" has disappeared from the display before removing the cup. 12. 8. OPERATION. BREWING COFFEE IN A JUG. CQube Touchscreen SERVE DRINKS: JUG OF COFFEE. To serve a jug of coffee. Do the following: 1. Put a jug under the tap (A) for Coffee by folding up the cup shelf. 2. Insert the card in the card reader (B). 3. The display reads: Service Menu, Jug Beverage. Figure A 4. Press the button for Jug Beverage. 5. Change the number of cups you want to brew in your jug. ( 6 cup brewing is the default setting) with the + or - buttons. Brewing can be set for between 1 and 12 cups. 6. Remove the user card. The display shows the Coffee menu 7. Press the button for Coffee. Wait until the cup light switches off and the message "Please wait" has disappeared from the display before removing the jug. 8. Remove the user card. NOTE! If no selection is made, remove the user card. To stop press the STOP button. 13. 9. CLEANING PROGRAM. CLEAN BREWING MECH. Insert the user card in the card reader (B) The display shows Service Menu, Clean Machine. Press the Clean Machine button. Step through the menu until the display shows Select Cleaning, Clean Brewer. The display shows Open Door, Fill Detergent. Open door. The display shows; Fill Detergent, Close Door. Put 25gr (one portion sachet) of cleaning agent (figure A) in the brewing mechanism. See figure B. (Cleaning agent is provided by your dealer) Close the door. Figure B The display shows Place Jug, Enter To Start. NOTE! Put a 1 litre container under the Coffee tap. Press the Enter button to start cleaning. The display shows Preparing Brewer, Please Wait. The display shows Cleaning Brewer, Time Left 300s. The machine counts down from 300 seconds. The display shows Rinsing Brewer, Cycles left 7. The display shows Select Cleaning, Clean Brewer when the cleaning is complete. Remove the user card NOTE! When the cleaning agent has been added, the process must not be interrupted but must be allowed to finish. IMPORTANT! After having performed the automatic cleaning of the brewing mechanism, you should carry out cleaning of the brewing chamber to remove any cleaning agent or coffee remains! 14. Figure A 9. CLEANING PROGRAM. CLEAN BREWING MECH. CQube Touchscreen Automatic cleaning of the brewing mechanism: Cleaning of the brewing mechanism should be done once a week. IMPORTANT! Cleaning of the brewing chamber to remove any cleaning agent or coffee remains! Disassemble and clean the brewing chamber. Open Brewer 1. Insert the user card in the card reader (B) 2. Step through the menu until the display shows Service Menu, Clean Machine. 3. Press the Enter button. 4. The display shows Select Cleaning, Open Brewer. 5. Press the Enter button. 6. The display shows Open Brewer. See instructions on next page! 7. Open the door, disassemble, clean and reassemble the brewing chamber. 8. Close the door. 9. Press the Enter button to return to normal mode. 10. Remove the user card. 11. Pour a cup of coffee and discard it. The Open Brewer function can be used to rotate the brewing mechanism to the correct position. NOTE! The "winder” should be in the 8 o'clock position. If it is not, remove again and repeat the procedure. 8 o'clock 15. 9. CLEANING PROGRAM. CLEAN BREWING MECH. CQube Touchscreen Automatic cleaning of the brewing mechanism: Cleaning of the brewing mechanism should be done once a week. Disassemble the brewing chamber. 1. 2. Supplementary flushing/cleaning of the brewing chamber. Reassemble the brewing chamber NOTE! Rinse clean! To remove any cleaning agent or coffee remains! 3. NOTE! When the brewing chamber is reassembled, ensure that the rubber scraper (B) is located between the rocker arms (A). 16. 9. CLEANING PROGRAM. CLEAN THE BLENDER BOWL. CQube Touchscreen Automatic rinsing of the blender bowls, at least once a day. B A 1. Lift up the cup shelf. Place a container of approx. 150 ml beneath the tap for Coffee (A). 2. Insert the user card in the card reader (B) 3. The display shows Service Menu, Clean Machine. 4. Press the Clean Machine button. 5. Step through the menu until the display shows Select Cleaning, Mixer. 6. Press the Enter button. 7. The machine will now clean the blender bowls for approx. 5 seconds. NOTE! Repeat the cleaning procedure 2-3 times. 8. Remove the user card. 17. 9. CLEANING PROGRAM. CLEANING OF VALVES. CQube Touchscreen Automatic cleaning of dispenser valves: B A C 1. Place a container holding approx. 150 ml beneath both the Coffee (A) and Water (C) taps by folding up the cup shelf. 2. Insert the card in the card reader (B). 3. The display shows Service Menu, Clean Machine. 4. Press the Clean Machine button. 5. Step through the menu until the display shows Select Cleaning, Clean Valves. 6. Press the Enter button. 7. The outlet valves will start to open and close at 3 pulses per second for maximum 6 seconds. Repeat the procedure 2 - 3 times. 8. Remove the user card. Cleaning entails the valves "knocking" off any lime scale and other particles that may get stuck in the cylinders, and flushing them with water. 18. 9. CLEANING PROGRAM. OPEN BREWING MECH. CQube Touchscreen Rotate brewing mechanism without water and ingredients: Used with advantage when the brewing mechanism has been removed for washing and will be reinstalled. 1. Insert the card in the card reader (B). The display shows Service Menu, Clean Machine. 2. Press the Clean Machine button. 3. Step through the menu to Select Cleaning, Open Brewer. 4. Press the Enter button. The display shows Opening Brewer, Brewer Open, Open Door. The brewing mechanism is now in the open position and can be removed. 5. OPEN the door. The display shows Close Door, Press Enter. 6. CLOSE the door. The display shows Closing Brewer. 7. Remove the card NOTE! The winder” should be in the 8 o'clock position. If not, remove again and repeat the process. 19. 9. CLEANING PROGRAM. RINSE BREWING MECH. CQube Touchscreen Rinsing the brewing mechanism with water. (Recommended every day). 1. Insert the card in the card reader (B). The display shows Service Menu, Clean Machine. 2. Press the Clean Machine button. 3. Step through the menu to Select Cleaning, Rinse Brewer. NOTE! Place a container holding 150 ml under the Coffee tap 4. Press the Enter button. The display shows Rinse Brewer. The machine now rinses the brewing mechanism. 5. Remove the card 20. 10. COUNTERS. CQube Touchscreen The number of cups served, cleaning operations carried out and water filter changes: Show the number of cups served/zero counter 1. Insert the card in the card reader (B). 2. The display shows Service Menu, Counters. 3. Press the Counters button. 4. Step through the menu until the display shows Counters Beverages. Show the number of cleaning operations carried out 1. Insert the card in the card reader (B). 2. The display shows Service Menu, Counters. 3. Press the Counters button. 4. Step through the menu until the display shows Clean Counters. Select the number of months for water filter change 1. Insert the card in the card reader (B). 2. The display shows Service Menu, Counters. 3. Press the Counters button. 4. Step through the menu until the display shows Water Filter. 21. 11. USE AND CARE. CQube Touchscreen USE AND CARE of the touchscreen. The screen is touch sensitive and is intended to be used with the fingers. Warning! Never use any type of tool to press on the screen. CLEANING the touchscreen. Never use detergent or cleaning cloths thatcan cause scratches to the surface of the screen Maintenance of the touchscreen Take care of your unit and it will give you problem-free use and reduce the risk of damage. - Must not be exposed to high airborne humidity or extreme temperatures. Must not be exposed to direct sunlight or strong UV light for long periods. Do not expose the screen to impacts or severe shocks. Do not expose the screen to sudden temperature changes. This can mean that condensation can form inside the unit and damage it. Allow the unit to dry out completely before using the unit, if condensation should occur. Avoid contact with sharp or pointed objects. Only use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with water to wipe over the screen. Do not use paper hand towels. Do not attempt to open, repair or alter the unit yourself. You risk damaging the unit and losing your warranty. 22.
